This is to ask who is the best Clutch QB, basically who did great in the final minutes of the game any time

I would say Steve Young, he was great and a incredibly great rushing QB

That statistic has received a lot of criticism for being inaccurate. Even still, Peyton Manning is very quickly approaching that number, which is why he's my pick. All you have to do is look at how opposing teams and coaches treat him in the 4th quarter to see that he's the most feared player in the league. No lead is safe with that guy on the other side.

Much like an Immortal, there can only be one: Joe Montana.

This decade: Tom Brady. Peyton Manning is only clutch during meaningless regular season games, than he throws 4 picks to the Chargers in the play-offs andd they are one and done.

Joe Montana but not too far off and should be mentioned in the second breath Tom Brady. I want to see Manning lead a GW drive in the SB and not in regular season, and do it twice to match Tom Brady. Tom Brady has ways to go in his career and many moments to give us believe that.

No it is not, but it is early.

Big Ben in his still-young career has already had a ton of comebacks, including the most important one, last year's superbowl.

But of couse you would think it's a sin, you are a seahawks fan. But to say he isint a clutch QB is ridiculous.

I read an article in the middle of the season that state Eli Manning actually has the best QB rating in the 4th quarter of close games for the past few years. So I'll be different and take him for all active players.

I don't know if you could call Elway someone who "got it done", he's more like someone who "barely escaped lifelong ridicule"

When you go to 5 Superbowls and don't even win the majority of them that's not good

When you're on the losing end of some of the biggest Superbowl blowouts that's worse

When you put up numbers like 14/38, 257, 1TD, 3INT and 10/26, 108, 2INT?

Well I don't think he got it done much at all

So in the Superbowl you want Dan Marino in the clutch?

His 21 incompletions and double the number of interceptions to touchdowns makes you think "now there's someone who can win the title"?

Having 5 SB appearances with two wins is getting it done in the post-season. Yeah, he didn't win the first three when the NFC was completely dominate over the AFC. It wasn't like he had great talent around him when he was in the early SBs either. Name another QB who's taken his team to the SB 5 times. I'll wait.

No, that's not getting it done, that's being a poor player in the clutch

Who else was the QB of their team in 5 Superbowls? None

Though Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw have twice the number of rings that Elway has and took them less Superbowl appearances

Heck, how is a guy that throws 3TD and 8 INT's in the most important game clutch in your mind?

Favre as of late hasn't been clutch, if anything he is the opposite, past 3 years he is following a trend to struggle down the stretch, OT INT vs NYG in 2007 when in GB, the collapse of the Jets in 08' and now the Vikings are stumbling to the playoffs as Favre begins to struggle, again.

Well not really a top 5. It's more or less some names of the top of my head as good clutch QB's. Not in any order. Beside You'd have to put Broadway Joe above McNabb. No one has ever gone to the SB and tell everyone "We will win" and then turn around and do it.

Oh yea Joe, that takes huge guts to say it and back it up yourself. You cant add anymore pressure than that unless you go into SB 18-0...:(

My list is Steve Young, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Peyton Manning, and Brett Favre (in 90's)

How is it Peyton Manning? Clutch? Nothing clutch about him in the playoffs, and do not bring that Super Bowl, they beat Rex Grossman and the Bears and he was gifted that SB MVP where imo Rhodes was deserving of it. Tom Brady in the playoffs: 14-3 Peyton Manning in playoffs: 7-8 The numbers speak for themselves. Who cares if you can make a comeback in the regular season, all that matter is the playoffs, and it is obvious Brady is above that, stats do not lie.

23 Consecutive Season Wins Colts, 5,000 Passing Yards, playoffs aren't the whole season, you have to do great in reg season, how'd you think they clinched 1st round Bye and Homefield Advantage. Plus the Super Bowl? Grossman is a slip-up maybe one of the worst QB's this decade.

Joe Montana followed by John Elway, Johnny Unitas, Steve Young and Dan Marino.

Today, it's between Tom Brady (although Adam Vinateri was the bigger clutch since he kicked the 2 game winners) and Peyton Manning (those playoff losses hurt him). Alothough Big Ben and Eli Manning showed they could be clutch in the Superbowl.

Eli escaped a sack while throwing that ball under pressure. :|

Those were two great play's by the two with one not being more significant then the other.

Plus he did throw the game winning TD (with the help of Plax of course).

Of all time? Joe Montana. This decade, it is Manning and Brady, with Brady on top because of his postseason clutch-ness lol.

Heck, how is a guy that throws 3TD and 8 INT's in the most important game clutch in your mind?

That is getting done considered that the first 3 SB's was all him. Elway was the team while Montana and Bradshaw had amazing teams backing them. Then when Elway gets a team they win 2 SBs years in a row And yes he did have bad games in the first 3 superbowls but to disregard his ability to win when the game is on the line is ludicrous

Tony Romo is pretty clutch, he knows when to fold. See: Botched FG

One play during his whole career. Why don't you come up with some other examples?

Well lets see here, instead of being focused and practicing for the playoff game a couple years ago he went to mexico with Jessica Simpson and the Cowboys lost at home to the giants
