What are your opinions of this game?

I approached it late, aware of the how poorly received it was, and for the most part it seems like a pretty faithful translation to gameboy.

I still have my copy somewhere but yeah, it's not bad considering the hardware it was made for. I think many were hoping for the planned but canned Resident Evil 1 port and when they got Gaiden they were just disappointed.

@Telekill: Yea, I saw the footage of this on YouTube and appeared fairly janky. From reading reviews as well they seemed to take issue with the targeting, which in all honesty requires more skill and even some tactics compared to the originals, in which you so much as look in the direction and you get a hit.

Want to bring up the soundtrack as well, it's astoundingly creepy.

Having recently played through Gaiden, it made me realize how many of the RE games have zombie ship settings.
