No it says they pay more than they receive. Most of the money going to them on a federal level, is trying to keep them out by deploying ICE and border patrol (which would also go up with the Wall) and their retention by DHS. That's what's draining your tax dollars. Soon this Wall, Donald Trump's vanity project, will be taking your money.

As a matter of fact here are the numbers for what they contribute: They have contributed $13 billion in Social Security while only receiving $1 billion in benefits. They paid $11.8 billion in state and local taxes in 2012.

Your numbers dont even add up. If they contributed 13.8 billion in SS and paid 11 billion in state taxes thats 24.8 billion minus the 1 billion in benefits. So thats 23.8 billion they supposedly contribute to the economy. But they have already estimated they they cost over 80 billion each year. So how are they contributing when there is about a 60 billion dollar gap that you fail to explain?

I gave you my source. It breaks down the numbers. Plenty of sites also say that they can't get those benefits, including Politifacts. How can they get more in benefits than they pay, when they can't even get those benefits?

Or don't pay for the Wall and spend it on something better. Houston literally flooded and we need billions in infrastructure to make sure it isn't as drastic. Instead of paying for that, we're paying for a while which drives up costs again. Most of the costs from illegal immigrants come from ICE, border patrol, and DHS. We're only going to drive the money spent and waste money on the Wall, when we can just tax money they send over there and put it towards something more useful.

@luxuryheart: If they are filling up a public school system and draining public resources then they are indeed receiving a significant amount of benefits. You are essentially saying "sales tax" covers the cost and thats laugable. They are not getting charged an income tax because that requires legal documentation be filed with an employer. What tax could they be paying outside of sales tax?

I'm for the wall but not because of something trivial like race. It's our sovereignty, a country without borders is not a country. I'm fine with dreamers getting a path to citizenship if we slow down the flow so we don't have to just grant more amnesty laws every 10 years. Why do illegal aliens get to join programs that put them through college,food,housing, medical. Alot of Americans don't get that. Not to mention most are just trying to stack bread to send back to thier country because a job here getting paid 8 bucks an hour is actually like 25 bucks an hour when you spend it in Mexico. We don't benefit from that. Tired of the virtue signaling and race baiting. We are America but not a refugee camp to the world. They need to fix thier own countries, cowards.
