Trump confirms he will run again in 2020 by appointing his Facebook guru Brad Parscale campaign manager - 980 days before America will decide on his second term

  • Brad Parscale served as Trump's digital director for the 2016 campaign and will be named campaign manager for 2020
  • He previously ran web sites for the Trump Organization
  • Oversaw online ads, social media, and TV purchases
  • He was among senior aides to retweet Russian bots in the final weeks of the campaign
  • News comes as Trump again blasts Russia probe as a 'WITCH HUNT!'
  • Trump spoke of winning the presidency and the difficulties of off-year elections
  • He told CPAC last week: 'Hopefully we're going to do that very easily'
  • Trump Campaign: 'The advanced planning for the 2020 race begins'

How Trump Wins Reelection

Last year, it seemed certain that he would be a one-term president—if he even lasted that long. But he has a plausible path to victory in 2020.

OMFG we just elected him and he wants to start already?

Election campaigns should be three months long, no campaigning (not publicly, at least) until then.

Makes sense, this is usually the time politicians begin planning for their presidential campaigns.

OP: actually he didn't have a plausible path last time but he won.

He doesn't have a plausible path in 2020 but he might win.

I think what is more plausible (but could turn out differently) is that in 2018 democrats will have both houses by a landslide

2015: "Donald Trump running for President is a joke!"

Wins the election by a landside hahaha.

I don't agree or support everything that Trump has done, but I definitely enjoy watching the liberals squirm. He has also passed some of the most conservative legislation in decades and for that I applaud him. The liberals want him to fail so bad, but the fact that hes doing a pretty decent job just adds salt to their wounds.

Think we can all agree that we are fed up with political correctness, affirmative action, and social justice that the left has crammed down our throats for decades. Also, if Ben Shapiro runs in 2020, then he will probably dominate. The reason I say this, is because there is no person currently in American politics who can win a debate against Ben and he continues to gain both fame and popularity by showing Americans just how absurd leftism is.

any surprise? all he was good at was campaigning. look how many campaign style rallies he's had since AFTER the election.

sitting in an office doing work doesn't give him the adulation of thousands he constantly craves.

What reality do you hail from, how did you get to ours (stargate?), and how do we get you back to yours?

@horgen: Losing the popular vote means nothing because in America we use the electoral college. Elections are ultimately decided by the electoral college which Trump won by an absolute landslide.

Just? we are in 2018

And primaries for the Democrats are only a year away.

sorry, 1.3 years is not a long time in a 4-year, potentially 8-year, presidency. To me, at least.

May not seem a lot but considering that we are only a year away from the start of the Democratic primaries and we have mid-terms in nov. There is not a lot of time left.

I think you can be pretty sure that Obama and previous presidents also began planning their re-election around this time.

planning is fine but the actual campaign is another thing. I don't want to see mudslinging and ads this early. Or at all, for that matter, but that's not realistic.

It's election fatigue haha. Not good for voter morale.

Ya, it sure is not.

And just imagine we have to go through mid-terms and then democratic primaries before the main election... in 2020 we will all just tune out when we hear about the election :)

lol you think

I am sure there will be a movement but when it comes to actually going down and vote, it will be a whole other question.

Also, there will be a movement on both sides and the key part to winning next election won't be the die-hard liberals, it will be the independents.

Yep, i think you are right.

But it will also depend on who is running on the democratic side and which nutjobs decide to run as 3rd party candidates.
