Attorney Michael Avenatti has been placed under arrest for felony domestic violence and was being booked early Wednesday evening.

Los Angeles Police Department officer Jeff Lee said the domestic violence report was taken on Tuesday in West Los Angeles and the arrest was made Wednesday. "We can confirm that today LAPD Detectives arrested Michael Avenatti on suspicion of domestic violence. This is an ongoing investigation and we will provide more details as they become available," the LAPD Twitter account posted Wednesday.In a statement, Avenatti called the allegations "completely bogus."

@Nuck81: Well he was arrested. So although he may not be guilty usually it takes some kinda of evidence before they actually arrest you in a domestic dispute.

Depends. In some states, police do not need evidence to make an arrest in domestic disputes. This is because in many cases the police are called by neighbors, and when the police arrive, the victim ends up defending the abuser.

This doesn't look like the case with Avenatti. Although it was called in by neighbors, the visibly battered woman is blaming him, and apparently the first thing Avenatti said when police showed up was "she hit me first"

Him and Cory Booker look kinda the same and it seems they have the same temperament. They both are no nonsense bald men and both want to bid for the 2020 elections.

The skeptical side of my psyche is alerted. I don't know if he did what he is accused of doing but I do believe he pissed off the wrong people who will be looking for him almost as in a reminder of sorts.

Timing on this whole thing is really...weird, which is why I posted the story.

Politics is getting way too bad now. I mean I don't follow the Republican ideology in general but in the past had voted for some. I would never do that now of course since the party is behind trump who I see as a danger to the country in deteriorating what we were founded on.
And the one thing I would Americans would do is stop that....not supporting it because of party. Washington had it right when he argued against partisanship when he left office. And I say that in regard to ANY party acting as such. Not because it's not my party. Hell I'd leave my party if it became such.

I don't recall making any declaration of the sort or even insinuating such a position. We all know what happens when one convicts w/o evidence. This man has made the radar of obviously the wrong people.

Strange but the irony in this is pretty amazing.

Believe all women was his mantra and the lefts, but when it goes against them , it´s suddenly “due process” and innocent until proven guilty.

But as i have said countless times, it´s of course innocent until proven guilty and that even goes for this sleazeball lawclerk.

3. the person who claimed success on this is the same person who tried to pay women to make false claims about Muller.
