Is John Weaver from the Lincoln Project a good moral authority for liberals?

They put him on the air nonstop to talk about how immoral Trump was. Turns out he made unwelcome sexual advances on at least 20 boys, including one that was 14 at the time. Isn't the investigative press supposed to investigate?

How was he constantly on TV and writing op eds in newspapers and no one ever figured anything out? People watching CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, etc also wouldn't hear about it. Even after the NYT puts an article out the only question was on Morning Joe where the guy lies through his teeth and gets no follow ups.

Do you think if he was the co-founder of a pro Trump group it would get attention? Are Democrats/mainstream media ok with pedophiles? It's hard to keep up with their changing moral outrage. They didn't seem to care about Corey Felman's claims about the problem in Hollywood, allegations against Bryan Singer, Kevin Spacey, etc.

So do liberals think that this kind of behavior is perfectly normal and moral and not really news worthy? I don't get my morality from people like Weinstein and Kevin Spacey and following what's pushed on movies and TV shows, but for liberals who do is that a problem? Or is orange man still the most immoral person on the planet and much worse than anything going on in Hollywood?
