Exec Reveals Google Plan to Prevent “Trump situation” in 2020 on Hidden Cam

Google Head of Responsible Innovation Says Elizabeth Warren “misguided” on “breaking up Google”
Google Exec Says Don’t Break Us Up: “smaller companies don’t have the resources” to “prevent next Trump situation”
Insider Says PragerU And Dave Rubin Content Suppressed, Targeted As “Right-Wing”
LEAKED Documents Highlight “Machine Learning Fairness” and Google’s Practices to Make Search Results “fair and equitable”
Documents Appear to Show “Editorial” Policies That Determine How Google Publishes News
Insider: Google Violates “letter of the law” and “spirit of the law” on Section 230

(New York City) — Project Veritas has released a new report on Google which includes undercover video of a Senior Google Executive, leaked documents, and testimony from a Google insider. The report appears to show Google’s plans to affect the outcome of the 2020 elections and “prevent” the next “Trump situation.”

The report includes undercover footage of longtime Google employee and Head of Responsible Innovation, Jen Gennai saying:

“Elizabeth Warren is saying we should break up Google. And like, I love her but she’s very misguided, like that will not make it better it will make it worse, because all these smaller companies who don’t have the same resources that we do will be charged with preventing the next Trump situation, it’s like a small company cannot do that.”

Said Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe:

“This is the third tech insider who has bravely stepped forward to expose the secrets of Silicon Valley. These new documents, supported by undercover video, raise questions of Google’s neutrality and the role they see themselves fulfilling in the 2020 elections.”

Jen Gennai is the head of “Responsible Innovation” for Google, a sector that monitors and evaluates the responsible implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. In the video, Gennai says Google has been working diligently to “prevent” the results of the 2016 election from repeating in 2020:

“We all got screwed over in 2016, again it wasn’t just us, it was, the people got screwed over, the news media got screwed over, like, everybody got screwed over so we’re rapidly been like, what happened there and how do we prevent it from happening again.”

“We’re also training our algorithms, like, if 2016 happened again, would we have, would the outcome be different?”

Google: Artificial Intelligence Is For A “fair and equitable” State

According to the insider, Machine Learning Fairness is one of the many tools Google uses to promote a political agenda. Documents leaked by a Google informant elaborate on Machine Learning Fairness and the “algorithmic unfairness” that AI product intervention aims to solve:

She's right, small companies probably can't deal with Russian Disinformation like how Google, Facebook, and Twitter can. Even the silly article the TC linked states she is probably talking about Russian Fake News....

Your interpretation seems completely off the rails.

1. We've heard this before with PV. They slice up their videos to take things wildly out of context.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/nov/29/project-veritas-how-fake-news-prize-went-to-rightwing-group-beloved-by-trump

https://www.niemanlab.org/2017/11/video-was-key-for-the-washington-posts-debunking-of-project-veritas-but-what-will-proof-look-like-in-an-era-of-easily-doctored-visuals/

https://news.vice.com/en_us/article/nedd9w/five-times-james-okeefe-embarrassed-himself-trying-to-out-liberal-bias

On Monday, The Washington Post wrote a detailed piece about how a woman, under a fake name and identity, tried to get the paper to publish a false storythat Senate candidate Roy Moore had sexually assaulted her as a minor then convinced her to get an abortion.

The woman’s story didn’t hold up to scrutiny, and things got fishier once Post reporters saw her walking into the New York offices of O’Keefe’s Project Veritas, a conservative activist group known for secretly recording videos in attempts to embarrass liberal groups and mainstream media organizations.

A Post reporter confronted O’Keefe about the apparent scheme on video. The controversial activist declined to answer repeated questions regarding the Moore story, but later released a highly edited video of the encounter that happens to cut out all the awkward silences:

Even O’Keefe’s most successful sting wasn’t quite what he said it was.

In 2009, he catapulted to fame in conservative circles by bringing down the liberal activist network ACORN. He released a tape that purported to show him and an accomplice, dressed as a 1970s pimp and his girlfriend, getting advice on how to smuggle underaged prostitutes and run a brothel.

Prosecutors in New York and California found no evidence of wrongdoing on the part of the ACORN employees, but reports from the New York Times and California’s attorney general found that the pimp thing was just more O’Keefe selective editing; he actually went into the ACORN offices in a suit and tie.

2. She's clearly talking about Russian Disinformation, even your article states this is probably the case.

Really admire you guys. Over here we have a very weak government (with no leader) fighting like rats in collusion and under the thumb of the media. Scared to say or do anything for fear upsetting them.

Here you are, a strong independent minded leader, fighting them, everyone against him, with an independent underground network weeding out the truth.

You really are the greatest country in the world.

Yeah, now that the amazing underground network of Grim Reaper and James O'Keefe have dismantled social media and abortion with their poorly editing videos, they can go after cannabis and video games. Maybe they will also find a way to ensure gerrymandering and Trump's failed foreign policy.

Regardless if we believe their pinterest and google videos or not (as it suits us), it should be investigated. Plus, Sillicon Valley is becoming too influential regardless of their current level of corruption. Their position within the law is an international problem, not a USA problem.

LMAO. Twitter is the reason why the man is president. They will not ban him because he is crucial to their business model. Trump has bought more Facebook and Google ads than any other candidate by a significant margin. They're not de-Trumping anything

As for the Russians, Facebook had no problem taking over a million dollars a month from Russia for them to pump ads. They basically turned the other cheek and played ignorant to it.

It's funny, libs like to claim that Russia meddled in our election, but don't want to punish the domestic companies that facilitated it.

Interesting opinions and all but she's logistically correct. Huge companies with insane resources are probably better at dealing with it than small startups. In fact these companies have already taken a few large steps, whether it's enough or not is debatable.

But I'm glad you recognize she was talking about Russian Disinformation and not whatever nefarious means Project Veritas is spinning it as.

This isn't a liberal claim. This is currently a fact that both sides agree upon, even in the Barr Summary. It happened.

Tim Pool usually makes a fool of himself. It's not the companies fault they have a misinformation policy and conservatives love to spread misinformation.

Can you prove they are being biased with actual independent studies and inquiries? The only ones so far have turned out flat. Or is your only citation youtube videos and project veritas, which is long discredited?

Do you mean like this?

Google, according to Gomes, has recruited some 10,000 “evaluators” to judge the “quality” of websites. These evaluators are trained to “flag” websites that are deemed to “include misleading information” and “unsupported conspiracy theories.” Gomes explained that the blacklists created by these evaluators will be used, in combination with the latest developments in technology, to develop an algorithm that will impose censorship automatically, in real time, across future search results.

Whatever the technical changes Google has made to the search algorithm, the anti-left bias of the results is undeniable. The most striking outcome of Google’s censorship procedures is that users whose search queries indicate an interest in socialism, Marxism or Trotskyism are no longer directed to the World Socialist Web Site. Google is “disappearing” the WSWS from the results of search requests. For example, Google searches for “Leon Trotsky” yielded 5,893 impressions (appearances of the WSWS in search results) in May of this year. In July, the same search yielded exactly zero impressions for the WSWS, which is the Internet publication of the international movement founded by Leon Trotsky in 1938.

Other frequently used words and phrases that no longer include the WSWS in Google search results include: socialism, class struggle, class conflict, socialist movement, social inequality in the world, poverty and social inequality, antiwar literature, and the Russian revolution. A search for socialism vs. capitalism, which, as recently as April, would have listed the World Socialist Web Site as the eighth result on the first page of search results, now no longer returns any results at all for the WSWS. Of the top 150 search queries that returned results for the WSWS in April, 145 now no longer do so.

All the search terms listed above are employed frequently by users seeking a left-wing, socialist or Marxist take on events. Far from protecting readers from “unexpected” responses to their search requests, Google is manipulating its algorithm to make sure that the left-wing and progressive segment of their users, who would be most interested in the World Socialist Web Site, will not find it. Moreover, the extent and precision of the exclusion of the WSWS from search results strongly suggests that the anti-socialist bias of the new algorithm is being supplemented by the actual physical intervention of Google personnel, enforcing authoritarian-style direct and deliberate blacklisting.

As stated above, since April, other left-wing publications that present themselves as progressive, socialist or anti-war also have suffered significant reductions in their Google search results:

* alternet.org fell by 63 percent

* globalresearch.ca fell by 62 percent

* consortiumnews.com fell by 47 percent

* mediamatters.org fell by 42 percent

* commondreams.org fell by 37 percent

* internationalviewpoint.org fell by 36 percent

* democracynow.org fell by 36 percent

* wikileaks.org fell by 30 percent

* truth-out.org fell by 25 percent

* counterpunch.org fell by 21 percent

* theintercept.com fell by 19 percent

Google justifies the imposition of political censorship by using a loaded term like “fake news.” This term, properly used, signifies the manufacturing of news based on an artificially constructed event that either never occurred or has been grossly exaggerated. The present-day furor over “fake news” is itself an example of an invented event and artificially constructed narrative. It is a “fake” term that is used to discredit factual information and well-grounded analyses that challenge and discredit government policies and corporate interests. Any invocation of the phrase “fake news,” as it pertains to the WSWS, is devoid of any substance or credibility. In fact, our efforts to combat historical falsification have been recognized, including by the scholarly journal American Historical Review.

Because this is demonstrable.

The newspaper, using SimilarWeb, could not "find the same level of traffic declines at all of [left] publications".[44] Google has rejected the claim it has consciously targeted any website,[44] but Google VP Ben Gomes wrote that Google had "adjusted [its] signals to help surface more authoritative pages and demote low-quality content."[45]

That video is so cringe worthy. None of the google employees actually say anything incriminating, it's just spliced with backdrops of an actor dressed as the grim reaper and O'Keefe talking subjective nonsense.

AAAnd it's gone, lmao the video was taken down. Mis-information/Fake News get rekt.

* alternet.org fell by 63 percent

* globalresearch.ca fell by 62 percent

* consortiumnews.com fell by 47 percent

* mediamatters.org fell by 42 percent

* commondreams.org fell by 37 percent

* internationalviewpoint.org fell by 36 percent

* democracynow.org fell by 36 percent

* wikileaks.org fell by 30 percent

* truth-out.org fell by 25 percent

* counterpunch.org fell by 21 percent

* theintercept.com fell by 19 percent

"As Google Fights Fake News, Voices on the Margins Raise Alarm". The New York Times. ISSN0362-4331. Archived from the original on 2018-01-13. Retrieved January 13, 2018.

That guy Wakabayashi is a lackey for NYT, which has a revolving door relationship with the state, the democratic party, and of course through those -- the editors of the New York Times itself, which are basically mouthpiece peddlers for the Democratic Party. Could go into this, but I think it's well established.

The method the NYT used to try to 'disprove' the censorship is also not published in that article, whereas the method the World Socialist Web Site used (and the methods used to confirm it by multiple other sites the World Socialist Web Site found were affected) was explained directly in their article. I recommend you read it. One of the key factors used to demonstrate the fact that wsws.org is the main target of google censorship is search terms. A search for "Socialist News" would net wsws.org at the top before April 2017, now it gets you the "Democratic Socialists of America" (which are just the Democratic Party for anyone unsure of the distinction). Curiously enough, after their algorithm was implemented, Bhaskar Sunkara of the DSA said in an interview when asked why "[Socialism was getting so popular]" said "when you google socialism you get the DSA." Before April 2017, the DSA barely made it above the 5th response. lol

Try reading this response to the hit piece by the NYT rather than going straight to wikipedia and copy pasting, which I wouldn't really recommend anyone use for anything political.

Trump will win because of an idiotic Project Veritas video?

I doubt this.

I hope he doesn't win, his policy is unpopular and he has been very poor on immigration issues, climate issues, abortion issues, and foreign policy. He has the lowest average approval in history as well.

Anyone who posts O'Keefe is a muppet. OP confirmed fake news.

let's not kid ourselves folks. google is not under ANY legal obligation to provide unbiased data. they're under obligation to provide data that is profitable to their shareholders.

if their customers deem them to be an unreliable or unethical source, they should stop using it.

I mostly see fact based threads against Trump. If you think that's hatred, well that actually makes sense Republicans hate facts.

But anyway, I vote based on policy. Not what "triggers" the other side, I'm not 12. Trump's and the GOPs policy is wildly unpopular (especially among people under 40) and so far have been trash. His stance on Climate Change alone makes him lose my vote. But then you add in draconian stuff like wanting to stop abortions WHILE limiting birth control (WTF?), anti-science (luls), anti common sense gun control, botching Iran foreign policy, botching immigration, constant lies and dependence on actual fake news (like this thread), and his overall low IQ behavior it's a "no brainer" for me personally.

But anyways, lol Project Veritas. Get rekt every idiot defending it ITT, got taken down for being fake news trash as it should. Cry about it.

Google has a near monopoly on search engine use, they are far beyond the traffic search engines like Bing and DuckDuckGo get. If Google wants to be biased then it may be their right to do so, but they should have the courtesy to state that they are biased instead of claiming otherwise.

LOL full-blown meltdown by the far-leftists in here.

While the source is sketchy and has no confirmation, it´s fun to watch them go into full-blown meltdown mode.

News without rock-solid sources is always fake news if it doesn’t fit the narrative. Videos of Google employees claiming that they want to use the company’s resources to stop the president from getting reelected is taken out of context and they are 100 percent unbiased, but some woman that claims Trump tried to rape her in the 90s while he was married to Marla Maples shortly before her new book goes on sale is telling the absolute truth and must be believed no matter what.

fair enough. despite what some muppets employed there say, is there actual proof that bias is INTENTIONALLY baked into the system though? i highlight intentionally because you can get what appear to be biases in the search results simply as a result of the algorithm responding as designed.

an example would be, someone searches for vaccines and get results about how vaccines are bad and cause autism. this is an alarming article headline so draws a lot of attention. more and more people click on that search result and as a result, it gets floated towards the top of the search results. can it be said now that google is INTENTIONALLY trying to convince the public that vaccines cause autism?

Hmm. Now they revealed an email confirming, if real, that they take political affiliation into account. Contradicting Jen's public response.

It seems this isn't going to stop with the video. It's becoming more interesting now that they're doubling down on this. Since Google is in a position of great influence I will watch how this will unfold with great interest.

You left out some important details...

The subreddit The_Donald was “quarantined” after users posted threats of violence against police officers and politicians in Oregon, administrators said.

Over the last few months we have observed repeated rule-breaking behavior in your community and an over-reliance on Reddit admins to manage users and remove posts that violate our content policy, including content that encourages or incites violence. Most recently, we have observed this behavior in the form of encouragement of violence towards police officers and public officials in Oregon. This is not only in violation of our site-wide policies, but also your own community rules (rule #9). You can find violating content that we removed in your mod logs.

As we have discussed in the past, and as detailed in our content policy and moderator guidelines, we expect you to enforce against rule-breaking content. You’ve made progress over the last year, but we continue to observe and take action on a disproportionate amount of rule-breaking behavior in this community. We recognize that you do remove posts that are reported, but we are troubled that violent content more often goes unreported, and worse, is upvoted.
