Retracted: I missread the Carrier Plant Article: Carrier Plant Trump Saved to Lay Off 632 Employees

Edit: Sorry everyone, I messed this up earlier. 632 factory jobs are leaving, but the 800 promised before will still stay in Indiana. I misread that it was 632 of the 800 jobs that were supposed to stay. My apologies to everyone on the Political Gamers board.

Well I don't know how much of that tax break they have already received, but they have to pay it back now.

Oh shit, I doubt the majority of his supporters will ever hear about that. Not really surprised though, we saw the same thing happen when a company called Whirlpool where I'm at moved to Mexico a few years ago as well. I honestly wonder if I would be better off at this point if I just got the hell out of the state.

The real question is...how many Trump supporters even have the smarts or memory to recall this being an issue a short few months ago? I can totally see them going "What? What Carrier planet? Indiana?!"

Trump said 1100 jobs would remain , and 800 + administrative/engineering staff will remain according to that article. Which totals 1100.

So not sure where the hell you are getting that 632 jobs out of the trump estimate..

Carrier wanted to close that plant completely and cut 1400 jobs , now 800 is remaining, which is not the 1100. but 800 is better than 0.

The other 800 are going to leave eventually, as well. Conservatives don't understand that there is nothing that anyone can do to make these workers less expensive to carrier than $3.90 per day. No red trucker hat rallies will change that. All those jobs are going to Mexico, every single one of them, and I don't blame carrier one bit.

Yup they will, but only by being clever tho, they are counting the administrative and engineering jobs in the 1100 jobs that has to stay.
