You guys buying ESO?

Don't believe the trash talking from when it launched on pc. It's a much better game than it got credit for and much better now than it was when it launched.

Warning though is an mmo first and elder scrolls game second so don't expect skyrim.

LOL much better? yeah sure, its a crap game, its a half-baked mess, not an MMO or a Elder Scrolls game.

Looks fun but I'm waiting for reviews. Also waiting for someone I know to buy it so I've actually got someone to play with.

I'll get it down the line, I think the release might hurt it being between Witcher 3 and Batman.

Different strokes I guess. It has it's flaws but over all it's a great game in my opinion. I really enjoyed it on PC...enough that I'm getting the PS4 version as well.

I'm buying a physical disc to try it out but will happily trade it in if it sucks. With Best Buy gamer's club unlocked it just dumb not to preorder these days with the 20% off and $10 Reward-zone. My problem is that I'm so busy (darn being an adult) that I don't often get to the game until a month later so it might be time to consider moving towards the cheap a$$ gamer direction since I'm so darn slow trying to finish up the last game I bought months ago.

@BSC14: I have several friends who enjoy the PC version of ESO, but I never gave it a try. Having recently given up a nearly 10 year WoW addiction, I've been in the market for a new MMO which I could play super casually. I gave the FF14 trial a go, but was unimpressed, particularly in regards to the UI and controls on PS4. ESO looks to perhaps have been better "consolized" (bigger text, simpler controls, etc), and I'm planning on picking it up for a whirl after a few post launch weeks have ticked by (in case of launch issues and whatnot).

It's a good game and I'm sure you will enjoy it. That said it's not a typical mmo and it's not skyrim. If you go into it with an open mind and no expectations I'm sure you will like it. Take it for what it is...

Well I bought the game this morning but have yet to play it because the patch still have over 3 hours. I cant believe they had a almost 16gb patch on launch day that is taking me almost 12 hours to download....

After watching Angry Joe review ESO, I'm not interested.

I keep hearing that it's "not Skyrim" and "not an Elder Scrolls game" so I'm not sure what the hell it is then.

I just bought it. Need something to put some PS4 time into aha. The whole no sub thing is a bonus too.

Despite my initial intention to wait several weeks for the usual MMO launch issues to clear up, I picked up ESO yesterday. No issues with install, and the 15gb update took about 1 hour to download. Ended up playing around on the EU server for several hours until I was able to get into NA.

After about 10 hours of play time so far I'm really enjoying this game, and can see myself pouring many hours into it over the course of the next few months (or longer). The voice acting is great, the graphics are impressive, excellent sound, the quests and story line are thus far engaging, and the game play works really well with the controller. My only gripes so far are the lack of an actual persistent mini map (although it's possible I just missed that option, dunno), lack of color blind options (I'm red/green colorblind and am having trouble differentiating between NPC and players without reading their names), and player communication (I've just removed myself from the "area" chat channel to avoid the barking dogs and crying children).

Despite my minor qualms I'll say that it's been awhile since I've had that "I can't wait to play this game again" feeling with a console game, but ESO is giving me that feeling. Fantastic game (so far) and am really looking forward to seeing how it progresses over time.

@thecouchpotater Lucky you with the download time. I am sitting at around 4 hours with another 1-2 to go. Good to hear that its been enjoyable so far though.

Might consider grabbing it when it is $20, during the July to October game wasteland time period. I need to finish up The Witcher 3, Batman and a few other games first.

That it would be a wildly popular game with a huge fanbase and still be in the mainstream almost a year after it's release?

Ok, I'm disappointed with ESO. It feels empty, I keep getting booted and when I am playing I'm bored, haha...maybe mmos aren't' for me, only mmo I've ever gotten into was the crew...

@jasonredemption:i know it is not the same but i wholeheartedly recommend witcher 3, if you haven't played it already, it's the opposite of empty, my only problem is that i levelled up fast and the now low level quests award low xp, but they are quite interesting so i keep on finishing them nevertheless... :)
