Just think about it, you could put 2 cds (bluray, audio, game, whatever) in your ps3 and then you could just select what you wanted on the xmb. or use the ps button to change the current disc. b4 the launch of ps3, i thought that this would be a cool feature. anybody agree with me?

LOL we had this message up a long time ago once. And yea like you had a 5 disc one. So You just kept your5 games you were playing inside the system.

But truth is the machines need to be as efficient money wise as possible. But thats thin line. You want quailty still, but? Its still a cool idea.

:off sub:
Just started DVM 4. I have never played this series before "one of the few at 36 years of age but." I have to say,, wow. Some intense fighting mixed with like FF orbs and magic "not sure how it all works yet. And great visuals and music and tuns of stuff. Pretty dang impressive so far.

Yea it would be convenient, but imagine how big the thing would be, and the price could be higher as well.

Go Sports Workout? :P

a disc changer would rock, i would love it, not having to switch back and forth between Burnout and COD4 would be awsome.

The eject disc xmb option is enough for me, the only thing I loath is finding the right case for the game i'm taking out and getting the game I want out of its' case. The juggling I don't like. If I stop being lazy I'd find me a nice music CD binder to solve my problem.

As far as a disc changer I'd be afraid of it wearing out or being slow when you want to change all the discs. On my old 3 disc changing stereo it takes a few seconds just to turn it all the way around to get all 3 discs out, and it's a tray.

I bet someone could mod a PS3 with a Blu-Ray reader inside a normal disc changer. Or something like that lolz That would be pure awesome, sit with your friends, pop in 2 movies, and 3 games. (for 5 at least)

Actually a neat idea! lolz make up to 6 regular dvds into 1 Blu-Ray!!! lolz so sweet, yet so unrealistic. I really wish they would do that with, 1 Star Wars 2 Spiderman

Sure. I was thinking 500 was too cheap a price for PS3. Maybe a 12 cd changer is in order so they can bump the price by another grand??

To the above poster, trust me it can be done without the system getting any bigger. I dont even think the system is that "big" as some of you point it out to be. For goodness sakes its not like you are running the dam thing on duracell batteries or a laptop to be carried every where.

Agreed, it's a powerhouse in a slightly packed on weight 360 in an awesome black finish!

So what would I use it for? CDs? If it's music I can just rip it onto the PS3's HDD. DVDs? If for movies, I already have four DVD-Players in some form or another not counting my PS3. Games? I prefer to play one game at a time because I'm one to get sidetracked.

To me it's a useless idea.

Always thinking of how nice a disk changer would be, I don't care if it's some bulky external thing that fires disks into the ps3.
