Whats the worst voice acting you've ever heard in a PS3 game? ( Doesn't have to be exclusive! )
For Me it's got to be ... Just Cause 2, they go for a stereotypical accent and just end up failing. It's Laughably bad.

inFAMOUS.
Cole- cliche raspy anti hero (alaold snake)
Zeke- another walking hillbilly cliche....in empire city!?
Sasha- ever heard of a drama queen? and you dont have to scream every line either.
its one of the weakest ps2 exclusives imo. and not just because of the voice acting.
[QUOTE="-Hoax-"]Star Ocean 4!... Bad Voice acting and bad dialogue.Getix-01lol i gotta check that out ^^ especially if its japanese rpg, they always have awful voice acting
There are so many things wrong with that statement. Star Ocean, however, is notorious for poor voice acting. I haven't even played SO4 and I know it's gonna have bad VA. I still remember Peppita from SO3...*shudder*
Although I love this game, Heavy Rain had its moments of terrible voice acting. Now it also had some of the best. But alot of it felt awkward.
Doesnt discredit the game from being awesome though.
Yeah i got infamous, i never noticed how cliche it all is until you pointed it out lolinFAMOUS.

I don't have Just Cause 2 but I'd have to say it's between Time Crisis 4 (The voices were terrible and the 2 main characters looked pathetic) and Mini Ninjas (The voices were terrible and the enemies were annoying chanting mini mini ninja over and over).
Ugh... im probably going to get some hate for this, but I found Heavy Rains voice acting to be... Off. An example would be the character 'Lauren'. Listening to her talk was like listening to nails on a chalk board!
I still love the game though. 5 trophies away from teh platinum:D
Yes i found some of the voices in heavy rain weird too. for example when playing as Ethan and shouting for jason, theres one particular shout that sounds like it comes straight out of a japanese cartoon lol I also found some of the security guards voices in batman AA to be a bit dull and emotionlessUgh... im probably going to get some hate for this, but I found Heavy Rains voice acting to be... Off. An example would be the character 'Lauren'. Listening to her talk was like listening to nails on a chalk board!

Whatever that is.Star Ocean. Bad voices + terrible story + lifeless character animations = disaster. Awful game.

I hate SO4. The problems with this game stretch far beyond bad voice acting.
I have to agree with you on that one.that aside, another game with horrendous voice acting would have to be Haze.I don't know about PS3 but the worst voice acting of all time is Sonic Adventure 2 (very poor localization)
Heavy Rain may not have the worst voice acting of any game on PS3, but it's certainly the most disappointing of any PS3 game I've played. Some of the character's voice actors were terrible. That really brought down the experience for me. I was expecting the voice acting to be great, but it was pretty average for the most part.

I've played worse. I really don't remember Sonic Adventure 2 to be that bad. It was by no means great voice acting, but I would say it does it's job pretty well for a game that old. Haze had some pretty awful voice acting and whoever mentioned Anarchy: Rush Hour was spot on saying the voice acting was terrible. It's a combination of the voices and the dialogue that makes it ridiculously bad.

*sigh* trying to make me work, eh? :P For right now I'm going to go off of memory and say that the actors in Sonic Adventure 2 weren't nearly as bad as Sonic Unleashed. I rented and played Unleashed a couple months ago and the voice actors were dreadful (so was the dialogue). I played the hell out of Adventure 2 on my GameCube back in the day and I never remember the voice actors being very bad. Sure it sounded like they were straight out of a cartoon, but that's kinda the point. I found them to be much more annoying in Unleashed. I was never annoyed in Adventure 2.

i don't agree with you. There's an amazing thing about cliches-they tend to work. Infamous definitely works with the setting it creates..the raspy anti hero is JUST what you need to come to terms with all the power you're carrying around-its comic bookish, but so is the mood of the game, not to mention the cutscenes. Zeke and Sasha may be cliched characters, but I definitely didn't cross question them during the game; infact I was looking forward to knowing what happened on Zeke's date, and I thought it was pretty cool the way Sasha calls Cole her lover-and the parts where you fight with the reaper conduits as allies is trippy. I wouldn't call it a weak exclusive either..it made into the platinum collection, which basically means it had 400,000 total worldwide sales after generally one year on the market.inFAMOUS.

Hahaha! Too true!!!This easily goes to the guy that does the background voices in the Lord of the Rings: Conquest. It's just so bad... "Use your stealth attack to turn the tide of battle!" Aaaggghhhh.... its horrendous.

Yes but Unleashed was just so ridiculously bad that I didn't bother to play it never mind judge the voice acting
You mean Enchanted Arms? There was this RPG port from x-box when PS3 first came out. Forget the name buit it had terrible voice acting.

I think it was mostly because the actors where all australian (if i remember correctly). You could hear (US/Canadian) english wasnt the language they spoke everyday. But absolutely great game![QUOTE="FFVIIROCKS"]I think it was mostly because the actors where all australian (if i remember correctly). It wasn't that bad. I mean, it was pretty lousy playing as the stupid werehog, but the Sonic levels were pretty fun. And if you're just going to judge games that you've played then you're probably missing out on a lot of terrible voice acting :P

There isn't a big difference between Australian and US English, outside of the slang. Also, most of the main voice actors were British, rather than French. I think the guy who played Shelby was the only American voicing a major character.
Anyway, the children's acting in that was awful, but it wasn't close to the worst voice acting I've heard in a game. I mean jesus, where do you begin? Pretty much any dub for a Japanese made game, for starters.
