Chinese authorities have discovered something remarkable, over 800 pirated blu-ray discs, somewhere in a warehouse in Shenzhen.Deze ontdekking brengt een wereld primeur met zich mee, want dit is het eerste voorval van illegale blu-ray schijfjes. This discovery brings a world first with it, because this is the first incident of illegal blu-ray discs.

Hoe hebben ze nou precies gedaan? How have they done exactly?Hoe is het ze gelukt? How is it they succeeded?Vooralsnog is dat een raadsel, het enige wat zeker is, is dat ze de beveiligingscode wisten te kraken en vervolgens alle films gehercodeerd hebben, zodat ze perfect paste op een normale DVD disc. For this is a mystery, the only thing certain is that they knew the security code to crack and then all films recoded, so that they fit perfectly on a standard DVD disc.Zelfs de doosjes waar de DVD's (want ja, het zijn geen blu-ray's) in zaten waren identiek aan het origineel. Even the boxes where the DVDs (because yes, they are no blu-ray's) were identical to the original.

In de winkel kost een blu-ray film zo'n 30 euro, deze piraten daarentegen boden ze voor maar 7 dollar per stuk aan. In the store cost a blu-ray film about 30 euros, these pirates, however, offered them for only 7 dollars a piece to.Nu men de blu-ray al gekraakt hebben, hoelang zou het nog duren voordat de PlayStation 3 spellen illegaal verkrijgbaar zijn? Now, the blu-ray have already cracked, how long would it take before the PlayStation 3 games illegally obtained?

cracking Blu-rays security and burning it on a dvd is one thing but there's still playstations security. Every PS3 game comes on blu-ray, so i don;t think ripping a ps3 game and putting it on a dvd will work. Id say it wil be at least another year before a mod chip comes out, and b4 they figure out how to make copies of the game. And by that time im sure sony will think of something to prevent piracy

I hope this doesn't reach ps3. Games this gen are so much more expensive to develop, and i don't want to see some of my favourite studios at risk of closing if piracy became widespread.

Only a matter of time.

The Blu Ray has been crack for awhile, but I think this is the first time they took a Blu Ray movie and slapped it on a standard DVD disk. Because before, you had to buy a $40 blank Blu Ray disk and a $600 Blu Ray drive for your PC lol

Yeah thats what I thought, by the time we get to cheap prices for BD-R's and BDRW drives, the PS4 will be coming out, so I don't expect the PS3 to get pirated, atleast not anytime soon!

i knew somtin like this would happen sooner or later.

a disc is a disc. you can copy just about whatever you want on them now a days. it was just a matter of time and now its exposed. soon enough ppl are going to find out what how this works. i really hope it doesnt get out of hand because most ps3 games are made on blu-ray.

If you install Linux on your PS3 and do some research, you can burn games onto an external HD, but I don't think it's standard format. Now, getting copied games to work on a PS3 is another story... but like someone said, pointeless since the costs for Bluray are so high.

I'd recommend you edit that because GS gave me warning about the "Linux" thing and deleted my message.

Blu ray piracy is old information. Getting the ripped games to play on a ps3 is something else entirely. I wouldn't recommend anyone doing this because Sony has the power to cancel your PSN account and stop you playing online or using PSN if they discover an attempt to play a pirated game. They may even be able to 'brick' your console if you attempt anything like this. If you want the gaming industry to exist in years to come, it's best to buy your games legitimately.

Considering there's only underdeveloped countries that sell pirate copies of games and movies, i think they'll be lazy to go over to copying Blurays. Also, since nearly every Bluray-player made has internet connection, there will probably be a special Bluray disc being used, so that a patch will stop the ones who try to play fake games. Probably...

Still, even if I can I wouldn't because downloading something more than 5GB is quite annoying and since PS3 games are very small....yeah ;)
