Maybe the saddest thing for me is in FFVII CC, when you fight all those people at the end of the game protecting Cloud, you see Zack falling on his back, tired of fighting like 1000 one, that was really sad 'cause I liked Zack's Character. Though I haven't played FFVII before but after playing CC I will certainly go and play it.

Now I know why people say that VII has the best story...

That was one of the most emotionaly powerful moments indeed. And sure kojima knows every single time how to deliver a moment like this. All the flowers turn red...pretty sad was shadow of the colossus ending though.I admit that i cried a bit there..What sort of gamers are we if we dont manage to "feel" some of our own well told game stories?

In tetris

***SPOILERS***

When the blocks get deleted and you realize they had such a short life and deserved to live longer :'(

In all seriousness SotC was very emotional. loved the ending and the spin. Overall the game was very emotionally involving.

[QUOTE="PeterTimpa"]Probablly pulling the trigger on the Boss in MGS3 after the final battle. Epic ending to an extrodinary gamehashimgillani1

Mine was the part following it, when Big Boss gets the medal and he goes to the grave and EVA is talking how no one will ever know that Boss was a hero. I watched the ending 10 times but it gives me goosebumps everytime.

As for Emma's death, that was kind of a shock to me, i didnt expect that to happen.

But I also have to say Devil May Cry 3's ending when Vergil dies.

Vergil doesn't die..he just falls into hell

For those who still haven't played Final Fantasy VII or Metal Gear 3 (hard to believe :P) do not read below.

Still, after all this years the death of Aerith remains my most saddest moment. It can only be shared with the ending of The Boss.

Those two memories remain with me for the longest.

FF7, what a waste of money.

I don't tend to get emotional over games. It kind of egged me off though how your partner betrays you in Vice City at the end. Fantastic game.

spoiler!!!

FFVII had some great emotional moments, and Crisis Core is true to that characteristic. After Zack defeats Angeal in the bathhouse, and he is sobbing in the church while Aerith is talking...very artfully done. IMO, Crisis Core is one of the best directed, artistic executions of story telling in a video game I've encountered to date. Here's hoping this is a prelude to FFXIII.
