basically biggest satisfaction you had in a videogame whether it was that super hard boss you spent 30 lives to beat or that platforming part that you passed even though 50 lives prior seemed impossible, etc... that moment that got you jumping out of your seat with happiness?

for the moment mine was beating beowulf in DMC 3. you have no idea how much i attempted to beat the boss.

Probably completing the part of Half-Life 2 when you have to fight your way through a Strider infested City 17 towards the end of the game. Man, that was intense!

Beating the Boss in MGS3.

Finishing FF7 after 80 hours of play.

Beating Areis in the first God of War.

Finally killing Jaws after trying a million times on my NES.

Beating Freebird.

Doing a 1080+ degree spin on a bike in Vice City and landing it. (Pure Luck!)

That's all I got right now.

Steve_ps

wow... i hear you... i beat him at lvl 38/39 if i recall it right and the fight took all morning... i used up all the items i had, and just when i thought i couldn't beat him i was left with a decision... use my last move to drink some x-potion or try a special move with cloud (the rest of my party was dead and no more phoenix down to spare)...

and after some omni slash...

i saved the world...

i'm still emotional over this :'(

beating sephiroth in kh1/kh2

also, playing madden 08 online, down by 7 with 30 seconds left and no timeouts. start on my own 15 and drive down the field and score a tochdown with 00:00 left in the game. and i go for the 2 point conversion (now that i look back on this, it was so stupid) and BAREEEELY make it in. one of the greatest madden comebacks ive ever had.

While beating Sephiroth in FFVII was awesome, beating the Emerald Weapon in that game was much more challenging. It took me forever but it was great when I won!

I have to say when my buds and i play pro evo 2 vs. 2. We had some crazy intense games. Also, everytime i beat any boss in MGS series, because all of them are challenging. I was extremely happy when I beat SniperWolf in MGS. I know for sure I'm forgetting some though, GoW has some good ones too.

The end of 'One Shot, One Kill' in COD4 on Veteran.

I died about 50 times before I survived long enough for the heli to land and rescue us. That mission was pure torture.

It would have to be defeating the last boss in Secret of Mana for the SNES. My friend and I traded off playing that game for months, then one day we finally finished that thing. There is no way I could have the patience for games now like I did when i was younger.

Sephiroth was not hard in FF7, Emerald weapon was hard, Ruby weapon was HARD. Beating ruby weapon is def gratifying especially when you only hit enter 2 or three times because you have an endless string of knights of the round or "ultimate end" if you will.

Probably beating mgs2 on extreme setting. The boss battles took a zen like state to overcome. Expecially vamp and the 25 rays I had to kill. I felt like king kong on cocaine after though.

There are many, however, the ones that come to mind now are:

Beating Ganon in the Ocarina of Time. (Probably still my fav game ever)

So many moments in CoD4, the most satisfying being any good Search and Destroy match. I actually can't sleep after a good game of that mode... gets me so hyped up.

I have many, but I'll share one. Back in Gonldeneye 007 in the aztec level on 00 Agent Mode... I know it didn't have the most satisfying ending clip, but damn I was so happy I beat that level, it was tough for me at that time.

Few of my favorite moments:

Beating older brother in Super Mario Kart (SNES) when I was 7 and he was 14

Completing Street Fighter II in one playthrough

First crash in Burnout (the memories...)

Beating Mike Tyson in Mike Tyson's: Punch Out! (Old man ain't got nothing on Little Mac, maybe he does)

Staying up countless hours to finish Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (Many cokes and slim jims were consumed)

Melee-ing a grunt in Halo: Combat Evolved for the first time and then proceeding to waste all of my clips on his corpse (Great stress reliever)
