Thanks! :D DS2 is pretty damn good, it just had a couple flaws. Just remember to frequently look behind you. ;) It's gotta be pretty cheap by now too. Heck yeah Saints Row. Not the best game of 2011, but definitely one of my favorites.
Skyrim, no question. Yea it has its problems, but it would be impossible to find a game as rich in content and replay value as Skyrim. I put hundreds of hours across 4 characters, and I felt like I haven't even done 10% of what Skyrim offers.
Arkham City for me aswell, that game was a amazing, and this year it was amongst a very strong line up of first party and third party games. It's a hard decision to make, i loved Portal 2 and Skyrim aswell.
Didn't play THAT many new games this year, played a bunch of things I had missed out on, and spend at least 100 hours playing NHL 12... I'd say it'd a tie between Uncharted 3, which I finished today, and Rayman Origins, which I believe I must be around 60-70% in at this point. I still have to play Portal 2, got those 3 games in december. I'd say NHL 12 (I'm a huge fan), as gameplay is fantastic, but the HUT mode is broken, trading mostly, to the point where it made me hate the game over the holidays... I'll trade it in this week.

I want Method and myself to be the top people to always recommend Saints Row: The Third to everyone. ;) I've been doing it with my real friends and only a few have taken heed. And it has been your first platinum trophy. Nice ;)
It's tight between Arkham City and Uncharted 3. I've only played 45 hours of Skyrim too, so maybe once I blaze 200 odd hours of that like I did Obliv-bliv, I may think otherwise :) Dissapointment of the year? F***ing Bleach Soul whatever the hell it was on PS3. Big fan of the show and manga, and it was so painfully obvious no attempt to make a game that was fun or faithful to what Bleach is was made. They just raped it. They raped Bleach for money :( Man, what a $hit $hit game.
Agh, soooo many good games near the end of the year. Skyward Sword won me though, I'm on PS3 and Wii, so that's part of it not being Skyrim. Great game, but Bethesda pretty much released an Open Beta of a good game. Even from 360 and PC it's pretty glitchy.
Hmm tough one considering it was full of great games, definitely a bright year for gamers around the world :) but i think mine would have to be between uncharted or dark souls, and they're two very different games to compare so i guess it's a tie
