What is the best gun on COD4 Multiplayer

On regular play I use a G36C with a red dot sight. I use 3x Frag Grenade, Stopping Power, and Last Stand. On Hardcore I use M16 with silencer, Claymore, UAV Jammer, and Dead Silence. I think UAV Jammer is the best Perk 2 in the game.

M4 is the new MP44...

For perks i'd say high dmg for dropping your foes faster, and myter is good because most people tend to run straight in the direction their facing; their gun is aiming forward...

1. M16, Red Dot Scope, 3 frags, UAV jammer, Martyrdom.

2. .50 cal, Extra ammo, stopping power, Iron lungs.

Those are the two I usually use, except if its a small map ill use

MP5, 3 frags, stopping power, martyrdom.

Those work good for me, I have a 2.45 k/d.

M4 Red Dot, Martydom, Bandolier, Stopping power

On smaller maps, or tight areas, P90, red dot, same perks

M16 w/ Red Dot

3x Frags

Stopping Power

Martydom

I might start going silent and use M16 w/ silencer UAV Dead Silence and i'm not sure about the first perk

for a start, i use RPD withgrip, increase bullet damage perk and matrydom.

P90 - Silenced, 3 Frags, Double Tap, and Martyrdom
M6OE4 - Red Dot Sight, Claymore, Double Tap, and Martyrdom

AK47, M4, G3 or G36c: with Silencer, M1911.45with Silencer, Bandolier, UAV Jammer, Dead Silence.

-My Stealth **** good for Search and Destroy or anytime you don't want people to know where you are.

MP5 or AK74u (2 best SMGs IMO): maybe with Silencer, M1911.45, Bandolier or 3x Frags, Slight of Hand, Laststand.

-Good for close quarters maps.

Whatever the 1st LMG is or RPD: with Red Dot Sight, M1911 .45, RPGs or 3x Frags, Extra Bullet DMG, Extra Bullet Penetration.

-Good for mowing people down, particularly good on the Bog map IMO.

AK47, M4, G3 or G36c:M1911.45, Grenade Launcher or 3x Frags, Extra Bullet DMG, Laststand.

-Good all round.

Mwhateva it is or Dragnov or Barrett .50:M1911.45with Silencer, 2x Claymores, UAV Jammer, Iron Lungs.

-Obviously for sniping.

Silencer makes you invisible from being shown on radar when you fire rounds... UAV jammer makes you invisible from the 3 kills in a row perk.

Primary Weapon: M14

Secondary Weapon: Desert Eagle (Gold)

Perk 1: Bandolier

Perk 2: Stopping Power

Perk 3: Martyrdom/Steady Aim

It's not the best gun. You can't put red dot or any attachments on it. It is a WW2 weapon. Just to show off really...

I have a 2.65 kd/r and i don't camp. the mp5 is awesome i beat people with the p90 all the time

G36C or M16 (both red dot) for me with desert eagle.

Extra ammo, stun, martyrdom.

That is the best combo of guns.... I got the red tiger for the M14 using that combo

In hardcore Team DM i just shot two bullets at the opponent with the AK and they're long gone.

Juggernaut is for noobs I hate people who use juggernaut especially with last stand....cowards. Last stand alone isn't bad but with juggernaut omg it can be a pain.

I used to think M16 was the best and still do, but it depends on your style of play and what type of gun you like to use. My best gun is M16 with stopping power and deep impact and bandolier and I use the same thing for the M4 Carbine class they both work out very well.

I use:

M4 with red dot sight

I dont remember which gun I use

Perks: Claymore, Last Stand & Stopping Power

technically the sniper guns will incur the same amount of damage with minor variations. like the r700 & .50 cal have identical damage characteristics, with the exception of if the target is behind something. the .50 cal has better penetrating power, but that is the only damage characteric that is different. but, all the snipes will kill with a single hole in the helmet. (unless they juggy, or you use stop pow to cancel the juggy out)

Or, like the M21 damage char views a 'neck shot' the same as a torso hit, where the other snipes view it as a 'head shot' damage-wise. So I would say it mostly comes down to what you feel most comfortable with. Especially between the drag, r700 and .50 cal...

I'm partial to the MP5 myself, with the same perks, no less. My K/D ratio isn't as good (it's 1.something), but there's a couple of maps that I get creamed on everytime... particularly Showdown. In close quarters, the MP5 is your friend, though.

For me it's the M16 with a scope. Nice conservation of ammo because of the 3 bullet bursts and the accuracy on this rifle is top notch. Make sure you use it with the stopping power perk though!

Let me give you a hint its a sniper rifle. Of course in some situations when your team is being bad dominated and your constantly going to get killed if you respawn as a sniper. Its these types of games where you have to disconnect immediately.

Another thing is that its not so much about the kind of gun you use but how you play. What I mean is just about all guns are accessible just playing the game you can kill an enemy just pick up their gun and get rid of your pistol. Its one thing to use one of the best guns or gun in the game but knowing how to play with them is completely different and something that is a big factor into having the best gun in the game. It took me awhile to figure this out but once I did I kept using the same gun and I get my kills most of the time.
