I think its aussie, and I love it :D Same here haha. I was expecting her to be very annoying but she has been extremely exaggerated in reviews. It's not even that bad..seriously. Besides, her personality and character brings a balance to the group. Without her, this game would be pretty mundane.
I don't think it's Australian, I think Fang's is more Australian than Vanille's. And yeah, It's not really the way she talks, but just the fact that she's so happy and perky all the time lol.

I went to youtube and tried searching for a video of her voice but what I got was a massive spoiler *cries* I typed up Vanille in the youtube search bar and in the box for most used searched it said something that could spoil it for some people.

It's not so much the accent that annoys me, it's Vanille's eternal perkiness. I'm thinking "Perk it down!"

But yeah it's definitely an aussie accent.... I find it distracting at times since it's so weird hearing an aussie (or at least the accent)in anything major. As for the character itself....just seems like a toned down Rikku and I quite like her.

yep..I was hoping for a japanese version with english subs. I cant even watch japanese animes that are dubbed english; has to be japanese with english subs. God damn you MS!
First of all Final Fantasy games have never come with the Japanese voice overs (So stop complaining) second her voice is no where near as bad as most people are making it out to be... Personally I like her in the game. She does add a lot to the mix of the party.

The main reason is that they didn't even think to do it in the first place, because a very small group wants it and the same very small group will do just fine with English VA work, that is in fact ... great.
