I'd say go for short names, though I say this because I do the same and have an opinion on that matter. I've always felt short names are easy to read and easy to say online. When someone is associated with their screen name, like "Crunk4Life", it's kind of hard to call out the entire name, let alone try to shorten it so the person with the name would recognize and respond.

Ex:

Player:"Hey..Crunk!"

Crunk4Life: ".....Someone say my name, what?"

This is just what I've seen and experienced in the past. That's why my name is just "Reule". Apparently for some people it is hard to pronounce, yet most of the time others get it. Yet it's short, one word. Easily to use for communication due to length and easy to remember especially when the Players Met list doesn't work for some games due to whatever reason.

I don't have any suggestions but I just have that opinion to share, sorry! Maybe "Bob".
