Vanille isn't that annoying

I don't find her annoying either although I would agree with Kevin VanOrd that she is probably the most shallow character out of the cast. And she has a horrible accent.BenderUnit22

Am sorry... Vanille's voice acting is actually that bad. The good point is that her real persona is great but that doesn't help when it comes to FFXIII..

I agree, i find her input usually acceptable to the point where I don't mind her talking, and her relationship with Sahz and Fang is cool.... she is really NOT that bad of a character, and she has a really interesting back story too. Overall, she made the experience better for me, so not sure why everyone hates her so very much.

I don't find her annoying at all. I think she's cute with her bubbly personality and positive outlook. Her accent isn't bad at all. I don't get why people hate her for that. I guess her little shrieks and AHHHHS! can be considered a tad annoying in battle though.

They went overboard with trying to make her cute til the point of "ugh".

I haven't found her that annoying as a character, but her VA is terrible.

Her accent is really, really bad (american at some points, australian at others) but she is nice as a character, once you get to know her.

Actually, that's my only problem with the entire game. You just have to give it time...

Hope is a good character. Waay better than Vanille can ever hope to be. Hes the only one with realistic emotions in their plight during the story. I would totally be freaking out if im turning into a zombie. Sure he whines alot, but thats probably what most normal people would be like in his situation, they would probably be screaming too, like little girls.

And his character develops along the way, which is more than i can say for Vanille.

I liked her. I liked how she always kept a positive outlook and she was really what drove Sazh through much of the beginning of the game. The voice work wasn't the best, but it wasn't nearly as bad as some people make it out be.Texas2089

FF 10 has some of the most annoying characters ever.

She is very annoying. The worst part is she actually narrates the storyline with her glass shattering soulless voice acting. My god.. She ruins the game.

I went into the game expecting to hate Vanille, but kind of grew used to her after a few hours. I would probably dislike her more if it wasn't for Hope; all of my ire is directed solely at him. He makes Tidus look like Shaft.

I don't find Vanille annoying at all...in fact she reminds me of a girl I used to stalk. Hope, on the other hand is just pathetic and cringeworthy.

She was one of the best characters in the game, she still wasn't a good character, but at least she wasn't whining as much as the others and she wasn't as stupid as Fang or Snow.

She was the reason I turned my sound off while playing. VERY annoying. Then again, most of the characters were pretty annoying.
