I suppose that even Sony has forgotten this detail. Maybe they even removed that yellow light in newer models to reduce cost because you won't need it anyway. The PS3 is indestructable, a nuclear power plant is build in as the psu and cell is healing cancer. wow and it does have a yellow light!

Nah I use Rabid Beavers to Guard my PS3. They'll Gnaw the hell outta of anyone's hand if they try to go near it.I pour liquid Nitrogen on my PS3 to prevent overheating, works wonders

Can the ps3 have two red lights kinda like the 360 ring of death or just the yellow when its overheated? Does anyone know all the light patterns for ps3 like

• blue and green-disc in and power on
• red-standby
• yellow-overheated
