Trophy System NOT Retroactive!!!!

Um i heard that the games you already played u have to play them all over again in order to get your trophies yup so when the developers send the patches that will activate trophies and stuff u won't get ur trophies for your game automatically!! info in the link ps3trophies.org Man this is a bummer now i have to beat uncharted the hardest difficulty all over again!!! anyone think there is a way around this???

but some people dont have anyones saved files !! i worked hard for the achivement in Uncharted i want them as soon as the trophies are aavailablle. this sucksWorriors213

maybe if enough ppl argue with sony they'll change their minds & just activate our trophies from our saved files.:twisted:

Lets just say u worked your hardest beating a game 100% and then u know when these trophies are avaible u want ur trophies for what u have done? ok now u dont get them and u beat almost all ur games 100% now i dont think ur going to go and play all those games and beat them all over again right? Wow that is a really good argument for not alowing trophies to be retroactive. But how are the trophies going to work if not from saved data?

yeh true but i was kinda looking forward to the whole trophy thing because i did well on all my games and i was expecting my trophies to be available ass soon as possibel kinda killes my mood for this now that i have to go back and try to beat these games agaim. i bet im sounding like a cry baby lol im a looser

yup same here the only game im going back to beat is MGS4 im still not bored of this game its amazeing!!!!

I'm actually glad they implememnted this type of system it stops people using other peoples games saves and cheating the score/levels.

I wont be re-doing GTA 4 but because the first play through was boring enuf.

I wouldn't even worry about it until you know which games will support it. Did Naughty Dog say they were going to patch in trophy support? I haven't heard that.

Edit: Looks like they just announced that they will patch Uncharted. I guess you get to play it again.

I know it will be a pain. You probably enjoyed the games you've finished. Now with the Trophies being implented into the equation, you should have no problem at all playing those great games again. Sometimes playing the second time is better than the first. When there's downtime in video game releases, jump back into the games you've beaten and go get yourself some Trophies! shaunchgo

LOL, that's how I feel about the 360. My score is only 5480 on the 360. There are some with 10,000+ scores. I am married with a family - points are not my priority!

Patched trophies will basically be new content. You didn't earn them before because they weren't there to earn.

Me either. It's like buying a movie or a book then having someone watch/read it for you.

So... Sony releases a NEW feature, and people are upset that this NEW feature won't work with OLD games? Alrighty.

I would bet that most of the old games are never updated to support trophies in the first place, so I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. Honestly, the few old games that might be updated to support this feature will probably not have much effect on your overall score in the long run, if you are even into that sort of thing.
