Toughest Boss Fight?

Who was the toughest boss you ever faced? In any game? Ever???

Most of the time, I don't think boss battles live up to the suspense...they are actually quite easy in my opinon. But who was the one boss that was the toughest in your opinion?

Mine has to be Shadows of the Collossus. Most of the fights toward the end were tough to me

Ruby Weapon w/o KOTR. That was a difficult fight.

Vamp from Metal Gear Solid 4 was a really tough and annoying boss, mainly because I didn't know I had to inject him with the syringe to keep him from regenerating his health. I wasted so much ammo, grenades, and rockets...

...and all I had to do was sneak up behind him.

Well I'd say Planax in Demon's Souls >_> I don't have enough turpentine or fire bombs D: Harvesting at the moment :DFuranko_Kun

Hehe, Phalanx is by far the easiest boss in that game.

For me, I don't know, maybe Flamelurker in Demon's Souls, and there were quite a few tough fights in Bayonetta. And the end boss in DMC3 was a b!t@h.

Psycho Mantis from MGS1, Back in the day that was the most insane boss fight ever also almost any boss from demons souls.

I got him stuck by accident with those bones, II was like ''WTF?'' he kept running and running but he got nowhere. Then somehow he got unstuck and he killed me because of my overconfidence lol. I came back and pwnd him. :)

pffft...I beat that with no continues while blindfolded.

The last boss in Heavenly Sword was pretty hard if I remember right.

This generation, I'd have to say either the Flamelurker or False King from Demon's Souls. The former just took forever to beat, he was so fast and ridiculously powerful that it was almost impossible to not die at least once. False King was hard with someone helping, so I can't imagine how hard it could have been alone. The toughest bosses I've actually beaten are FFXII's Fenrir and Behemoth King, and Star Ocean: Second Story's Gabriel Celestae. Brutal bosses.

I'll go with one of those Weapons in FF7 I cant remember the color Ruby or Emerald prolly both :P

PS3: Demon's Souls definitely takes the cake for hardest boss fights, but I never really had A LOT of trouble with any of them...I think I died the most on Flamelurker trying to take him on by myself, without any ranged attacks...not the best idea, but take it from me, it's possible.

All-Time is much harder to remember, but I'll do my best:

Emerald and Ruby Weapon, without KOTR or Mime.

The Fear from MGS3. It took me forever to defeat him using only tranquilizers on the hardest difficulty. That frustrated me to no end, but was extremely satisfying.

Multiple bosses from Turok 2. When I was playing that as a 12 year old it was hard as hell.

....and that's all I can think of for now. Never really had a problem with bosses.

Im kind of going off memory here but the last dragon/weapon at the end of Final Fantasy 8 on level 99. Even on a guide i read its a luck fight cause its so hard.

i know that there are some really hard bosses out there but i don't think they get any harder than ruby or emerald weapon, seriously they were impossible

Mmmm, Yiazmat in FF12... too much time consuming... OMG... 10 hit combos + chances for instant KO with each hit? ... 50 million hp? ... hate it.

Never had problems with Demon's Souls bosses, Maneater was easy, he killed me 1 or 2 times blasting me off the bridge... never again. Tower Knight squished me 2 times in game 1. Thats all the times i rememember being killed by other boss besides Dragon God (he is not hard, but i get unlucky and he KO me in 1 hit)

Seth from SFIV. It felt like the game let me win.

Nemesis that guy never gave up.

Slimer, he was a real pain.

MGS-3 The End, it took me at east ten tries to beat him. every time i found him he knocked me out and dragged me to another map in the game. but when i finally got to him it easily took an hour to take him down(non lethal)

The toughest Boss Fight By far is Bahamut from Finaly Fantasy VIII. After getting through the red dragons and then having to face Bahamut. The longest 4 hours of my life.

Ya'll mentioning games like FFXII and MGS, lol. Those bosses aren't hard. Try playing Odin Sphere for PS2. I used to spend hours just trying and trying till I could beat the bosses. They were ridiculously hard.

Legend of dragoon for me, I was never able to finish the game :/

I had no trouble with demon souls bosses except tower knight...but I have to say virgil at the very end of DMC3 has to be the hardest boss I ever fought due to the fact he is the only boss in existance I cannot beat.
