To Destiny or not to destiny, that is the question?

So I purchased Destiny and I leveled up a hunter to level 26 and then kind of got board. I wanted to do the first Raid, but at my level and lack of friends with a PS4 was never able to find people to commmit doing it with me....and since then I have kind of fallen off of the Destiny excitement train. I loved the game when I played it, and have the season pass so I want to go back and experience the DLC and such since I paid for it but I'm having a hard time bringing myself to do it. Maybe I'll roll a new character and see if playing it a new way will spark excitement again. Has anybody else had this feeling?

If so would anybody want to roll an alt with me tonight. Maybe get 3 hours or so in as a group? If so my PSN is topher78714, shoot me a friend invite. If I can get one or two other people to play with I plan on playing from like 7-10:30 or 11 tonight just to see how high of a lvl I can get my alt (sadly I have to work early in the morning or I would go longer).

It happens. You can only get so far in Destiny before you need other people to help you.

haha and there is my problem. I'm at that point now with my main and little to no people to play with. So now I'm at a "welp, what now" point.

Level 24 Titan here, game is awesome, I play capture the flag all the time and still working on the dark below as my level isn't high enough for some of the missions, I also don't have many PS4 friends so don't do many raids or such. I'll be checking out those facebook links.

destiny lfg, bungie forums, sub reddits have plenty of random ppl looking for activities.

and with the new dlc, all vanguard armor can reach up to 31 so you can do some raids

I haven't tried the game yet. If it plays like Halo online then I will not enjoy it. If it reminds me more of Mass Effect, I will love it.

I got the Destiny version of PS4 d so I didn't pay for the game. I leveled my character to 20 before I got so bored and frustrated I don't have any desire to play it again. I won't be buying any dlc's or passes. It's just to boring. The after level 20 leveling with armor is the dumbest leveling system I have ever seen. also the missions are just plain too repetitive.

@arcangelgold: I'd have to agree with the leveling system after 20. The randomness aspect of getting shards can be really frustrating. 18 shards to fully level 1 piece? Meh. I'm not buying any DLC either. Not especially if they just raise the cap every few months.

They may change this system with the expansion in September though. We'll see.

Other than that I enjoy the crucible a lot. Its fun punching people to death

It's the only game I play right now. Tuesday's and to a lesser degree Friday's are the days I can't wait for. I enjoy the game. I know what it is and what it isn't.
