The title of Modern Warfare 2

Earlier a buddy and I had an arguement about what the name of the next Call of Duty title will be. He said that it will be CoD 4: Modern Warfare 2, but I stated that it would be simply "Modern Warfare 2", because in the teaser that is all it said. So, does anyone know what it will be? Opinions and predictions welcome...

Call of Duty was dropped... because it isn't the 5th or 6th Call of Duty... it is the second Modern Warfare... so they just wanted to show that...

It would be weird calling it: Call Of Duty 5: Modern Warfare 2, though this seems like the right one. Modern Warfare 2 is much cleaner so thats ok.

gamespot actually has an article explaining why somewhere, but activision decided to not be associated with the COD franchise...good decision i think. thats why its just Modern Warfare 2 _Khaos88_

Good, Call of Duty is a WWII shooter name and should stay as such. CoD 4 MW tainted a great franchise. I only say that because most people I know that love CoD 4, never played 1, 2, or 3. I always saw it as a marketing sceme to get the younger crowd. Then they go back to a WWII theater, didn't make much sense.

I don't care what they call it, as long as it's not Call of Duty.

Pretty sure the best name is CoD4-2

That's where we differ. I don't really think it was that great. I was pretty bored of the game just a couple level into it. The online was meh.... I still think Finest hour had the best online.

my guess is call of duty is done all together... the modern games will be the modern warfare series, and the WWII side will be the world at war series... once a series get to COD5 COD6 COD7 it seems stupid. it will now be MW2 MW3 and WaW2 WaW3 and so on... also i sopose these games will come out alternating years... 2007 was MW1... 2008 was WaW1 and 2009 will be MW2 and 2010 will be WaW2
