The end of MAG.....

It saddens me to announce that MAG will be the shortest lived online shooter of all time! Believe me when I say that once BFBC 2 hits the stores, there will be many, many, many copies of MAG being traded towards EA/DICE's superior title. Why would anyone keep playing MAG when BFBC 2 gives you the viceral feeling of being in a war while supplying the team based gametypes that everyone is applauding MAG for. I bought MAg the day it came out and played the crud out of it. Now its two plus weeks later and MAG is done for me!!! 256 players doesn't make a game great!!!

lets put it this way: if i want a HUGE online battle and have TONS of fun then i will play mag. if i want a good graphics, gameplay, and another TONS of fun then i will go with BFBC2. but nothing and i mean NOTHING can contend with how epic MAGs MASSIVE matches are. so i will play both! :)

Never bought MAG, never will. I would never buy a game that I know will be unplayable in the future.BubbyJello

Sorry, but Bad Company just doesn't have what it takes to steal away from MAG. Maybe if you were talking a PC good, legit Battlefield 3 for the consoles. As a PC Battlefield veteran, Bad Company comes off as a scaled down experience. The Rush mode was designed because they were not confident in having 32+ player matches. MAG has shown it's possible to go well beyond that and still be good, so what is DICEs excuse? -ArchAngeL-777-

I'll be playing all 3 of them, however I play MW 2much more than MAG, because I think its more fun. I played BC 2's demo and I thought it was pretty cool, so I'll play all 3.

I'm not dumping it but I'm getting BC2.

I skipped MAG half because of BFBC2 and half because I knew I would only play it for a short amount of time before getting tired of it. I usually don't like spending $60 on a multiplayer only game.

I never got into mag and most likely won't. To me it looks like another shooter just with more people on screen. Been watching BC2 for a while now too, unlike pre released mag.

I'm trading MAG so i can buy off the rest of my heavy rain pre order, multiplayer shooters just aren't for me.

They're both very different. That's why i'll be playing both :D

Neither, I'm enjoying Bioshock 2's multiplayer for now.

Its easy to cram 256 players into a match when you are running your game on dedicated servers and have a game engine that could have been done on the PS2 in its first 2 years. If you are going to seriously defend MAG solely on the basis that you can have 128 per side that Imo amounts to sheer and utter chaos in 90% of the matches, then you can have it. Heck, Imo the BFBC 2 demo is more fun then the entire completed MAG!! Seriously, show me a game where you can go 5-15 K/D and still finish in the top 3 in your squad in points because you have resucitation abilities. That is just dumb! More players on screen doesn't equal a better game!!

I voted for BFBC2 so I'm agreeing with your choice. Just not for the lazy points you used and I highlighted. Show me where it's stated by any credible source that MAG's graphics engine could be done on the PS2. Exaggeration just lessens your credibility.

And number 2? Any game that's a good TEAM game will allow a person to have a low KDR and still be in the tops on the squad and GAME!! Completeing objectives and doing your role in a TEAM game should net you tons of exp if that is what the game is based around. If MAG had a mode where it was 128 vs 128 and once you were dead you were dead you'd change your mind about that dumb resucitation ability. Not that BC2 has a mode like that but you can resucitate in it now as well.

My reason for liking MC2 more is for the reason you are not pidgeon holed into a "role". To be a sniper you have to more or less specialize in the ****to get the "good" stuff. Same goes for assault rifles, LMG's, CQC weapons. You can be good at more than one once you are leveled up good and high but once you get bored and repec a few times you are now stuck in a role you don't like for longer and longer. In BC it's boom....medic...boom....sniper....boom....shotty. My "role" isn't stale for very long.
