Strange message sent to me???

I was just playing away on my PS3 when I got a message from a SQUARE-ENIX_FFX. it says the following...

"Hello there, Playstation Network user. I'm Kevin Butler from the Song Entertainment Company. I would like to stop this spamming rumour about Playstation Network users having to pay for playing online, so please help me stop the rumour spamming. If you send this to 35 people, you will be granted $37 on Playstation Store; just check your wallet money on Playstation Store. This message is tracked by me, Kevin, and Sony Entertainment Company. please copy and send to all friends"

To me, it sound's like spam Because you would think if it came from Kevin Butler of Sony Entertainment, It would be addressed by a specific name that could not be chosen. That or sent to your email inbox right? Plus at the end, I realized that it is spelt "please copy and send to all friends" If it was sent by the company, the P would be a capitol and there would be a period at the end. Anyone else get this?

Once in a rare while I'll get that. It's spam, I won't even finish the first sentance in those things before I delete it.

Lol, it's definitely spam. Anything that tells you to forward the message to other users is spam, especially if it comes from some random user.

That message is so incredibly stupid, it's painfully obvious that it's spam. Amazing how you actually had doubts strong enough to come here asking that.

When I get those messages I instantly block the person, seems to work well.MATheKing

This is the most important point of ALL. .It's not enough to delete the message. Block is your friend. Block, block, block FTW:)
