Sony Really Hurt Me On This One!

Well today after I came from track I was expecting for sony to announce some big great annocenment for the ps3 like.

1.Downloadable ps2 games for ps3. (like GoW,shadow of collusis,etc.)

2.Legend of dragoon 2, Jak 4, and Elder Scrolls 5

3. PsP can actually be used for something usfull on ps3 like an in game controler. Insted of craming everything on that little screen can't even use it for single player games.

After Sony hyped everyone up for some big annoucement they announce that their ps2 drop in price by $30 WOW REALLY! i system that is far from bad but just a 2nd rate system compaired to ps3and 360 i guess. Why not announce something big for ps3 insted with all the hype theyhad.

P.S. i'm still staying a ps3 fanboy though

listen i didnt hype my self up for any anoucment that i know nothing about and he is looking at it the wrong way because what is there to be dissapointed about witha ps2 price drop? maybe if he didnt hype him self up cus he through sony was going to drop the price on the ps3 or somthin else he wouldnt be dissapointed

Sony never said their announcement was PS3 related or that it was amazing, media did that. And you're fault for believing them and not Sony.

Still got my 1 and only PS2, don't really care about a price drop, didn't get myself hyped up either for a PS3 price drop because I/most of us already own 1.

Dont hype things up...if your hype things up, u have 2things can happen: 1) rly disapointed or 2) rly happy.......if you dont hype things up u only got 1thing that can happen: 1)w/e. so not hyping is the better solution unless u like getting stressd + pissed:)

I stopped getting excited for cryptic annoucements since the 12 unrevealed games to be shown at TGS sometime ago and find out it was a bunch of small games and/or games that were already annouced just not in japan

i'm not a fanboy, but i gotta say i was a little disappointed.

though PS2 success is undeniable, i really feel Sony ought to push PS3 and PSP far more. maybe its just me but i sometimes think Sony is stretching its resources too thin and can't keep pace with 360. The only reason i picked up PS2 vs Xbox were the exclusives, if only Sony got its back in gear and started to really push its PS3 format, really evolve the PS3 Home, get strong connectivity going for its users and its relations with its developers. then i think Sony could pull ahead.

to still be pushing PS2, does one thing and that is keeping the promise it makes to buyers that it is a 10 year system. I really think that once it hits next year (its 10th year) they gotta cut it and push full on the PS3.

I was hoping it was something PS3 related but i guess not.

I didn't really hype this up too much because so far this gen Sony really hasn't delivered on many of their promises or hype. Best thing to do is just don't hype anything that much. But seriously, Sony REALLY needs to step up their game this gen and start focusing more on the PS3 instead of the PS2. PS2 already won the "console war" last gen, they need to try to make the PS3 win this one(which looks impossible at this point).
