Should I play Uncharted 1 before Uncharted 2?

My dad surprised me with Uncharted 2 for christmas however I've not played the first game. I have a gift voucher for gamestation, should I use it to get Uncharted 1 or get another game which I had planned?

well i got a ps3 today with uncharted one.. i think maybe you should play the first one before the second. although i havent even played uncharted yet.. but they both look like they are great games especially the second one.

just get the first one so u don't miss anything story wise :)

Idk i rented UC2 a few times and didnt have any problems. Only thing i had a lil problem was the characters and who they might've been in the first. But you can always google that lol.

Yes, I would play the campaign for Uncharted first. you can play U2 multiplayer in the meantime. ;)

Both games are fantastic.

I would say if you play Uncharted 1 first, you would be even happier when you play Uncharted 2 because you will see all the improvements.

You get to know the characters much better and their relationships with eachother making the game feel more like a movie. Plus why shouldn't you play the first Uncharted? It's a brilliant game itself!:P
