should i get call of duty modern warefare 2 or battlefield bad company 2

I have both.

BC2 was fun, I can't lie... but I already unlocked all of the weapons and perks for all the profiles (Medic, Assault, Recon, etc) and I'm only level 25. The game is boring as hell now! The fact that you only have 3 game types doesn't help either - you can only play Rush, Conquest, or Team Deathmatch. LAME! The single player is fun, but the multiplayer didn't meet the hype. I do NOT regret spending $60.00 though. It was a decent game and worth the money.

Now...

MW2 on the other hand is fan-freaking-tastic in ALL ASPECTS. I've been playing since it was released! The single player (albeit short) was incredible. There are so many cool missions! The co-op can be fun, but multiplayer is where this game REALLY shines. I've done Prestige Mode 4 times and I'm still not no where near tired of it. There are cool guns, cool perks, cool killstreaks YOU CAN CONTROL and a crapload of sweet titles and emblems you can show off. I love Modern Warfare 2 with all my heart. Hardcore geekgasm every time I play!

Another one of these posts....

TBH Badcompany 2 gets boring after you unlock everything and have to play the only two good game modes being Rush and Conquest. However, it will still provide at least 30+ of entertainment before you reach that wall of boredom.

Modern Warfare 2 is a game full of whiny ass 13 year olds who think they're cool by cursing. However, the gameplay will provide a consistant amount of entertainment most of the time.

There both good but i would go Call of Duty.

Surprised by how many people have said MW2, everyone here is usually anti-MW2. I'd also have to go with MW2, much better campaign, Spec Ops are very entertaining, and the online is decent. You should get Bad Company 2 if you only mainly care about online, as many people think it's online is better ( however I didn't care for it).

If I'd have to choose, I would get BC 2. But if you liked modern warfare 1 more than BC 1, then go with MW2 except if you want to try something different ;)

I really enjoy Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Single-player isn't up to par with Modern Warfare 2, but the multiplayer is simply amazing. There's nothing better than squading up with a few of your friends and absolutely demolishing (quite literally) the enemy team. Plus the game is run on dedicated servers, something MW2 is not, meaning less lag in the game. Rent both if you have to, then decide which one you enjoyed more and purchase it. Or you can do as I did and buy both, though as I previously mentioned I would get BC2.

Depends on what you like, MW2 is just run and gun, not much tactics involved, simple yet fun. BFBC2 has a lot of tactics involved and there is much more to it than just the shooting.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 by far.

I would say Bad Company 2. Mainly because the multiplayer is excellent and the campaign is very good. Also EA are releasing a Co-Op mode as DLC at some point in the near future. Also there is plenty to unlock and achieve in multiplayer. As for Modern Warfare 2 I think the game is good but it lacks something for me. The multiplayer is good but it can get very repetitve and the servers are not good. The campaign is boring in parts but is still solid.

Bad Company 2 !

Well it comes down what are or do you like to play more of either single-player(campaign) or online multi-player?

As for single-player(campaign) = CoD4:MW and CoD:MW2, also the first BF:BC is great too.

As for online multi-player = BF:BC2 and the first BF:BC is good too, then CoD4:MW.

Although MW2 is a good game it has to many noobs in it, I would go with Battlefield:BD2

SP- Modern Warfare 2

MP- Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (plays much better if you have friends and play together in a squad/team... awesome!) ; i totally got my money's worth with the multiplayer.

if you are a teenager, MW2, if you are an adult, BC2. it's because MW2 is run and gun, but BC2 can be irritating if you don't use strategy.

from the looks of it, you should buy MW2 (although i play BC2)

If you loved the 1st MW, then you will hate how unbalanced MW2's multiplayer is. Considering the 5 hour story.

If you want a seemingly balanced multiplayer and OK story then get BBC2.

If I were you, I'd wait for the upcoming FPS games. (MoH, CoD: Black Ops)
