About a month 

2) How many Games do you currently own?

2 PS3 games, but I can play all my previous games for PS1-PS2, which look amazing because the PS3 upscales them+ I can play them at 1080i. Most look like PS3 cames and close to real life in some parts. 

3) How many Blu-Ray films do you own, if any?

1, Pirates of The Carribean 2: Dead Mans Chest 

4) Do you own an HDTV?

Yes

7) What's your opinion on Microsoft?

Right now, in my opinion their leaching off of sonys **** 

8) What's your opinion on Nintendo?

I like Super Smash brothers, thats about it. Played it over causins on Gamecube. very fun.

9) Do you believe the PlayStation 3 is fairly priced?

In my opinion, yes. It has everything and so much more.Free online, every feature of any other console, and much more. Dont want to get into detail...that would be allot of writing.

Filled my expectations further then I anticipated. (Antipipated it would be quite amazing)

Since Christmas.

Call of Duty 3 and College Hoops 2k7. But I had Tiger Woods 2007, NBA 2k7, and Splinter Cell but traded them in. I've also beaten my buddies copy of Resistance a few times.

3 ) How many Blu-Ray films do you own, if any?

3. Talladega Nights, Goodfellas, and Black Hawk Down.

4 ) Do you own an HDTV?

Yes. While at school I play on my puny little 20in hdtv and when home I play on my dad's 50'' plasma.

5 ) Do you own any other next gen systems?

I don't but all my buddies do, so I can play theirs whenever I want.

6 ) If not, do you intend on purchasing one in the future?

Possibly.

7 ) What's your opinion on Microsoft?

Ruthless businessmen (not a bad things)

8 ) What's your opinion on Nintendo?

Well they took an interesting route with the Wii. Seems like they've ignored the 20-30 age group though.

Yes I do, when you look at everything that is included in that price.

I think they're a little bit arrogant.

Love them, but I wish they worked harder on their online services.

I think it is fairly priced for the technology, but I believe a $100 price cut is needed.

My head almost exploded when I got it!  

1. Since February 12, 2007. Almost 4 months.

2. Only1 PS3 game (Resistance:FOM).

3. None.

4. No.

5. No

6. Yes. The Wii.

7. I think that Microsoft is ripping off their customers by making them pay extra for things like HD-DVD drive, HDD, etc.

8. They're good, but they don't have a good selection of games.

9. IMO yes for the features that it comes with, but most people don't see it that way.

- great online and custom soundtracks

I've owned my PS3 for five months.

I own six PS3 games, one PS1 game, and too many PS2 games to count.

I own two Blu-Ray films.

I'm not a Sony fanboy, but I haven't played many XBox or XBox 360 games. I don't have much of an opinion. All of my computers run Windows and I love Windows so I'd say I have to like Microsoft there.

8 ) What's your opinion on Nintendo?

They don't have enough exciting games.

9 ) Do you believe the PlayStation 3 is fairly priced?

Well, seeing as they were (not still sure if they are) losing $300 on each system, I feel like I'm getting a pretty good deal. :P

I was kind of disappointed. I'm hoping future games will be a little better.

Since launch. Camped out in 30 degree wether and loved every minute of it.

10 and a couple PSN games. Lots of PS and PS2 games.

Pirates. They try and take every last dime out of 360 owners. Although I do like pirates, just not MS.

Nostalgia because that's all they're good for now. I loved my NES, SNES, and Gameboys. Wii is fun for like 3 weeks.

Amazed but not beyond expectation, because the Playstation brand has always done a great job so it doesn't surprise me how amazing the PS3 is.

No, I'm not disappointed but I'm frustrated about the developer Japan is long game on PS3 because hard to develop that's new program for PS3.

They know how to make some great games, I still play my Gamecube, they gotten a little kiddy, but I have great respect for their spirit.

Yes I do, when you take into account on how much stuff you can do it's well worth the price

It filled my expectations at first, but now with all this good stuff coming for it, it's exceeding my expectations such as Home.

Few days after launch, don't know how long that is.

5 for the PS3.

Nope, not a single one.

Yep, Xbox 360 (also the elite version) and the Wii.

If any console breaks I'll replace it.

7 ) What's your opinion on Microsoft?

Made a really good console this year and did a good job on the XBox, their just a good company.

8 ) What's your opinion on Nintendo?

Made the best consoles in the early years, tho I don't know if they got the formula right with the Wii, but everybody knows a console like Xbox 360 or PS3 would look good in Nintendo's image, they want to be innovative and it doesn't work that well with the Wiimode.

Just to give a example: Red Steel was supposed to be the hit for the Wii, but it didn't because the controls didn't work right, and the Wii actually wants to represents innovation in gameplay.

9 ) Do you believe the PlayStation 3 is fairly priced?

No, you can compare the system with the Xbox 360 but with better graphics and other games, I don't know what the production value of the PS3 is, but they should drop it or include something with it or something.

I got what I expected, good games, good graphics, fantastic console actually, to bad it doesn't have games like Gears of War on it and stuff, then it would've been a bigger hit probably.

I think a lot of people love Microsoft because they have virtually the same prodcut as Sony but it has been out a year longer and is cheaper. I don't hate Microsoft like a lot of Sony gamers but I certainly do not support them.

8 ) What's your opinion on Nintendo?

I believe Nintendo is smart and knows how to makes a great system to sell to aveage gamers who don't want to pay a lot of $ but just want to have a fun time every once in a while. I also believe the Wii is an ideal second system. But to me buying a Wii and no other system (or being a big computer gamer) is not entertaining enough for a hard core gamer.

Connsidering blu ray players alone cost roughly $1k it seems reasonable but for an avaegae gamer $600 isn't acceptable

I was amazed, mainly because I had never played online before and playing Resistance online was the best gaming experienced I had ever had

use to hate them when i was a kid coz of the whole sega vs nintendo and i was a sega person, but now i like them, they seem to be trying to make gaming a bit more inventive

we got them for about  £300 less than it costs to make one, plus things like blu ray drives (which as a stand alone unit cost £1000) as standard i think made the price reasonable.  i would have liked it to be cheaper (wouldn't we all) but i dont think it was a rip off

limited backwards compatibility for uk ps3's was very annoying but after a few software updates that isn't an issue for me anymore.  i'm a very happy gamer.

College Hoops 2k7, NHL 2K7, Fight Night rd 3, Tony Hawk, F1, Motorstorm, Tiger Woods 2007, NFS Carbon, Madden 07 and I've rented every other game PS3 has to try out.

SIX

Yes. I have 2 that I use. Samsung 56" (5687) 1080p, 10,000:1 and my Sony Bravia 40" LCD, 1080p, 7,000:1 contrast. 

5 ) Do you own any other next gen systems?

PS3 is the only Next Gen system there is out. But I do have other systems, including I had the 360, but the 360 is far from "Next Gen".

6 ) If not, do you intend on purchasing one in the future?

The next Playstation will probably be the next one out as Microsoft can't seem to catch up and make anything decent to be concidered "Next Gen" or last any longer then 2-3 yrs. 

7 ) What's your opinion on Microsoft?

Hate them for always bringing out things that frankly just aren't ready at that time (ex. Windows XP, now Windows Vista) or consoles which just frankly can't compete in the long run. They are too worried about today and not about down the road or the customers.

8 ) What's your opinion on Nintendo?

They make some of the best games out there to date (ex. Mario series) and they are smart for not trying to compete power/feature wise against Sony but instead take ALL the business for the kids games and system. Smart choices from Nintendo will keep them going for many years. 

9 ) Do you believe the PlayStation 3 is fairly priced?

VERY much so. This system is very cheap for what you get now, let alone what it will do for the movie and gaming world down the road. The PS3 is truely a "Man" system and totally Next Gen and smokes any other system out there right now.

The PS3 is an amazing system with lots of games out already that I'd take over the 360's hands down. If you have the set-up I have at home with TV/Sterio combo, there is no way in hell anybody could be disappointed in this system.

I hate them , there mean towards sony , they copy other companies ideas , they buy out companies like rare and others , they steal exclusives , they lie a lot , there computers don't last , I'm on my third computer from MS , I'm planing on buying an apple labtop.

I love them , I grow up with my SNES , I love that console. can't wait for SMG , MP3 and SSBB for my Wii.

-I don't hate them or anything, but I think they do some shady stuff sometimes, and I've never been much of an Xbox fan.

-I love nintendo. They got me into games, and I'll always be loyal to them. I think they did something really great with the Wii.

-For what it is, yes. But I think it's high priced if you think of it as just a gaming console.

For what I get from the PS3, yes. I can watch Blu-Rays, surf the web, free multiplayer, upgradeable hard drive, a disk slot instead of a tray,touch sensitive eject and power instead of buttons, and the current games give a good taste of what's to come.

Well upon opening the box I had my 5mins of silent awe, and I braced myself for a bit of dissapointment due to my current tv,

I'm a pc gamer, and after all the problems i've had with Windows, the fact that everything they make is faulty as hell (360 hardware? WinXP service packs?), and the fact that they have been convicted of various anti-trust suits and that they essentially force me to use Windows OS because every game is made for Windows due to their large market share, i absolutely can't stand them.

8 ) What's your opinion on Nintendo?

I love them.  Best 1st party titles around (though Sony beats them by sheer quantity).  Zelda is the best franchise ever.

For what you get, it's a steal, but i can see why others would complain, if they don't want certain features it has.  Of course, i'm one of those that believe Blu-Ray is very helpful for games (see Uncharted), so it seems necessary to me.

I was amazed in some areas, and disappointed in others.  I didn't realize just how much it could do, and how intuitive it was going to be, but at the same time the fact that most of games i was anticipating got delayed almost a year disappointed me.

They stole the idea of a Graphical User Interface from Xerox, they stole the design of the Xbox from the Sega Dreamcast, their Xbox 360 is NOTHING compared to the PS3 and more expensive to get you waht the PS3 offers, plus the quality control this time around on the PS3 was just great, hardly any PS3s are defective compared to the nightmare that was 360, no handheld, wouldn't buy their handheld if they did make one, crappy games, and I wouldn't own a computer with Vista on it unless i was paid to. If it was free i'd put it to Windows XP and make the comptuer i have here a linux/unix.

What's your opinion on Nintendo?

Nintendo's Wii is going to become like the DS. Everyone was excited about it, then crappy games, people thought it was going to suck forever, then one day games started to get better, and better, and better, and before you know it top selling gold.

Definately. To make a 360 what the PS3 is you have to spend 100 on a hard drive, 200 on a HD player, and another 100 on a wifi adapter, plus PS3 has free online, Blue Tooth compatibility, and last but not least the graphics are quite a big step up from the 360 anyway. Of course it's reasonably priced especially if you took advantage of the 100 dollar trade in credit by trading in a PS2.

Don't have one yet... but I know it's going to fullfill my expectations greatly. When I checked out my 80 game library and found that I will have virutally no issues on any of my games... I was awe-struck. I didn't realize how quiet a PS3 is, it's so beautiful, it's got so many great feautres, I probably don't even know everything it can do. All the reason why I want it even more now.

I was really impressed when I got my 360.  But after getting PS3, I was amazed beyond expectation more than 360.  It made 360 felt cheap in built quality.  But hardware, I think 360 can compete with PS3 barely.

I've been a gamer for a while.  As a kid, I played on both the NES and the SNES, having lots of fun with both.  The problem was that when I grew up, so did my tastes, and Nintendo did not seem to care about me anymore.  Given the company's successes, I can't fault them too much for their business practices, and I'm sure the Wii is a great console, but they have made it no secret that children are their primary target audience, and subsequently I have no reason to expect to ever be drawn back to Nintendo products for more than a passing glance.

Considering the cost of production, yes.  However, like many, I think it would be in Sony's best long-term interests to make it more affordable, perhaps by late fall.

I'm a bit disappointed that there are still no title releases that have excited me.  I probably wouldn't even have bought a PS3 yet if not for taking advantage of a deal that was available for a short time.  It's just that the PS3 is the only one of the new consoles with exclusive games that I'm looking forward to (Metal Gear Solid 4, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted:  Drake's Fortune, and a future that promises God of War 3, Jak 4, and the next game from the ICO team), so it might as well be my choice for multiplatformers as well.  I strongly disagreed with the initial decision to abandon rumble in the controllers, but it appears that the road is paved for the Dual Shock 3 since Sony settled with Immersion, so I think good things are coming.

When the big games come (not sure I'll like Home, too much second life for me) I'll be perfectly happy.

The company itself has it set up so that once you start using their software long term, you have to continue to do so throughout the rest of your computer-using life if you want to preserve the data you've conglomerated over a long period of time. To add insult to injury: They provide no context discrimination between users; they just write the software with the pre-conception that everyone who uses it is a stranger to computers in general. If they continued their growth, they would expand this insensitive policy into any other investments they may have, namely the XBOX console. So if they were to win the console wars, I'd have to either (A) Give up console gaming OR (B) Put up with their policy.

Finally, I don't actually think MS really understands that the root of successful business lies in consumer cooperation. They are stuck in this mindset that, as long as they're the only ones that exist on the market, their business will be successful. It's because of this mindset that they cut so many corners on the XBOX360 and rushed it into the market too early even though it lacked propper lens padding, cooling utilities, and a more versatile player. They may have congealed a gross of 11 million consumers, but this was only because there was nothing else on the market, which is the way they wanted it.

So yeah, I'm not very fond of Microsoft or their business tactics.

8 ) What's your opinion on Nintendo?

I'm indifferent to it. I like them as a company and admire that they stick to their guns, but the lack of progression from them doesn't give me very much reason to support them--Especially not over Sony.

9 ) Do you believe the PlayStation 3 is fairly priced?

I think it's more than fair. When taking into account that the Blu-Ray and Cell technology combined cost at least $1300, I'm painted a very clear picture on exactly how generous a $650 (after tax) price-tag is.

10 ) Finally: Upon finally receiving your PlayStation 3 console, were you disappointed? amazed beyond expectation? rr it just about filled your expectations.

It met my expectations. As the console progresses into the future I'm sure it will raise my expectations higher and meet them all over again.
