Is it possible to make more than one PSN account using the same email address (then, just picking a different password)?

Nope.
Like tom said, it's not possible to do that BUT it is possible to have more than one PSN account via Users. It wouldn't make sense to have multiple PSN accounts using one email and different passwords so go with the latter (User) if you need to add another account to your PS3 console.
