PSVita name confirmed, but did you prefer the name NGP or PsP2?

I don't really care what it's called as long as it's good and has awesome games. PSV is fine by me.

I really wanted to call it the PSP2 because it would look slicker that way, but the new logo they showed of Vita is growing on me. Personally I'm going to be calling it the 'V' from now on. PSV sounds a bit medical. :P

No. "Next Generation Portable" is a silly thing to call something when it inevitably becomes current gen. And PSP2 is so unoriginal.

I can live with Playstation Vita. I would have like PSPTwo. NGP would not make sense in 2012,2013,2014 etc, Because it would just be the Current Generation Portable during those upcoming years.

I liked calling it NGP, though I agree with the other person that Next Generation Portable isn't a good name. I don't like the name Vita, but oh well, still can't wait for it.

They could give the letters new meaning. I preffered NGP. It grew on me.

'Next Generation Portable' just isn't a console name, it was always just a codename and although it grew on people it was always going to change. Vita or 'PSV' doesn't sound too bad to be honest, and it will grow on people. I cannot recall anyone liking the name 'Wii' at first; it just baffled me completely. But it did grow on me, and now it would seem weird for it to be called "Nintendo Revolution" or "Revo" as some called it.

PSVita = PlayStation 5 if you use Roman Numerals and initials PSV.

Why is the "S" small in "PsP2?" It should be "PSP2"

But anyway, PSP2 would be my pick, but PSV ain't too bad either.

Same here. After seeing an official release of price, specs, and games in action, I couldn't care less what it's called right now.

NGP, it just sounds powerful.

Vita sounds too designy.

And PSP2 sounds lame.

I'm perfectly fine with the new name, I don't understand all the hate for it. Sure, it might sound a bit cheesy, but what console name doesn't? When you really think about it, Playstation Portable is simply quite boring. I'm sure will all get used to the new name in a few days...

Although NGP grew on me, I realized that it was in no way an official name. I thought that they would go with PSP2, but instead they went with Vita. Personally, the name "Vita" reminds me of Vitamins. :P But I guess I'll get used to it.

PSP2. It doesn't really matter to me though. It can be named Mashed Potayta and I wouldn't care. I'd still buy it.
