Since Memory Sticks are proprietary to Sony products, I'd imagine that they'd let one of their more popular products use their largest one. I'm pretty sure it tops off at 32GB.

32GB is the maximum at the moment that the PSP can use. I have seen a few people post here that have them. Your probably only going to want a 16GB though since the 32GB is close to $100.

It is 16GB for sure, my brother ordered one that's how i know, But just like a few users said 32GB is on its way, i agree with that, if you think you can wait, you must wait for a 32GB memory stick!! It is going to be a lot more than 16GB, wow just imagine double the memory!! Sounds interesting! Can't wait for a 32GB memory stick for PSP.

Did a bit of digging and it seems the largest size the official firmware supports is 16GB. 32GB is supported via custom firmware only at the moment. I could have sworn I saw a recent update that was higher than 16GB, though.

32 GB is already here. Notice the posts that said a 32 GB was on its way was made last year. I have this one for my PSP. Why are threads from May 2009 being bumped?

I just ordered a PSP online, and also wanted to order a larger memory stick so I can watch movies etc. What is the maximum size pro duo stick that the PSP will recognize?

For example, I know some devices like phones can not recognize the 8gb sd cards out there, and I would hate to buy an 8gb memory stick that the PSP will not recognize.

Thanks for all your help.

I have personally used the generic dual micro SD to MS duo adapter and two Class 10 sandisk 64GB cards to atain 118GB of usable space fully recognized by the PSP The RAID provided by the adapter doesn't seen to prevent the PSP from treating the storage space as its own. The write speed is not as good as the real MS but its very close.
