PS4. What do you think it will be like?

PS4 = God-like

The only thing we know for sure is cheaper and less ambitious hardware than the PS3

like all my wildest dreams come true.

an overheating ps4 will most likely result in the spontaneous combustion of our galaxy.

They're going to have to do something revolutionary with the PS4...I mean graphics can only go so far right? They are already nearly photo-realistic now on the PS3, if they improve it for the PS4 it won't be that much of a change.

I think they need virtual reality or something exciting!! I dunno...I'm sure those Sony people can figure something out to tickle our fancies

I doubt it if we'r goign to see a ps4 anytime soon, i mean the ps2 was realesed in 2000 and then ps3 in 2006 that means 6 years so since the ps3 was realesed in 2006 i think the ps4 will also need 6 years till 2012 or 2013. lets talk about it when its 2011.

I dont care it wont be coming out for a while anyway just enjoy the ps3 while we still can

It should have incredible graphics and I would like to see another GTA game with a lot of options to accessing all buildings.

Something amazingly amazing graphics wise (PS1 - PS2 :O, PS2 - PS3 :O :O)

a new super-dooper media disc (DVD, Blu-Ray)

A few Amazingly hyped new games in to a franchise that brings out a new game every 4 years.. (Gran Turismo 6, GTA V)

a new franchise that blasts away with positive reviews and numerous awards (PS2 - Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank PS3 - Im not gonna even start)

A slight change, to the DUALSHOCK controller, introducing the DUALSHOCK 4

Expensive then a gradual break down

A greatly improved online (PS1 had no online, but the change from PS2 to PS3 was gold, so at that rate, and the worlds internet rate, you can see PS4 having a new very unique online, pulling away from its green twin LIVE

and probably some enjoyable new features.

but hopefully nothing EVER like on-live (except for demo, not bad to stream demos)

I think Sony will do a "Wii-tation" on PS4, but not like you think...Let's see...

1. IBM is working on a new Cell with 32 SPE running faster than PS3's Cell. Sony could use those for 2 tings: Main Processor and GRAPHIC Processor, reducing dependency on third party hardware and reducing costs at the same time. I dont think Cell would cost them as much as it cost today because, as technology matures, it gets cheaper, no matter if it's an advanced new version, this Cell would cost (at most) like the PS3's Cell at launch.

2. Blu-ray IS the HD standard so they will use that as well. In that moment Blu-ray readers will cost very cheap so...

3. As the Cell continues to upgrade and be more and more powerful, emulators for PS1 and PS2 will run flawlessly on PS4 and, being more or less an upgrade to PS3's technology, PS4 will be 100% compatible with PS3.

4. Memory wise, I think they will put as many as they can because, as demostrated by Microsoft, it doesn't hurt to be able to use RAM as freely as possible for the developers. Maybe 2GB at least (4GB more like it).

5. Add the same as PS3 (and more): 4 USB, Memory slots, 2 HDMI, a HUGE HDD and an EXPANSION SLOT (to upgrade the console half it's life) and we're set!

They can built this machine very cheap and sell it with a price of 299.00 at launch because PS3 created enough popularity to bring those components prices down.

So, maybe PS4 will NOT be 10 times as powerfull as PS3, maybe 3 or 4 times at best, but it doesn't need to because PS3 technology is amazing.
