wow, reading this i realize what a lame year its been for games...most of the games mentioned were let downs to me. i have yet to play the new cod or ac so hopefully one of those will be good. i fell back in love with some of the old titles that i never finished
Bayonetta. Nothing has impressed me nearly as much as that game. Just every aspect of that game is above and beyond anything any other game has tried to accomplish this year. If you're talking PS3 only: then God of War III, then again, that's the only exclusive I bought this year :P Seriously, I think the PS3 had a pretty crappy year for exclusives especially when compared to 08/09.
Red dead wins hands down this year for me...last year it was a toss up between batman aa and uc2.I've played every major release title so far this year and the only game that comes close to being epic is assassin's creed brotherhood but i haven't finished it yet...The mp has me hooked.Gow3 and bayonetta both disappointed me.Bad company 2 atleast gets best shooter of the year.No developer has given us destructibility,vehicles,and amazing gunplay packaged as good as dice.
GOW 3 I would think, for rounding off the trilogy. And delivering the most stunning set pieces I've seen in any videogame, ie; the entire first half hour. Could have been a little longer. I'd put RDR on even ground so either of those.
PS3 game of the year implies that it's only on PS3. That would be God of War 3.

not neccesrily, putting PS3 game of the year i have ruled out anyone that comes on the PS3 forums to post an Xbox exclusive which is not what i was refering to, therefore its ANY game on the PS3
GoW3 was just epic and my vote for GOTY. I still have yet to get heavy rain but it is on my list. I'm really enjoying GT5, already logged 20-30 hrs on it, and have barely scratched the surface.
Sony released a God of War game this year, why is that not on the poll?
It seems to be one of the more obvious choices for PS3 Game of the Year.

if you opened your eyes and looked to the others section and then saw the please specify ... then that means to say what the game is if its not posted .... jsut because it's an obvious choice to you and alot of other people doesn't necessarily make it the best for everyone else either

All it implies is that it is the best game on the PS3. Mine would be Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. It's this generation's Beyond Good and Evil. For better or worse.
