just to let you know, the ps3 does play vob format. i use the program mkv2ps3 to convert mkv hd movies to vob, that way it loses no quality. but, that doesn't really help with your problem at all. sorry. im_mr_brownwon't play VOB files on mine... weird, i wish they could just get all the proper codecs on the system, converting all my anime from OGG sucks...

your vob's on the ps3 hard drive, or external, or on PC using a media server?
that's annoying, you lose quality when converting to MP4 and it takes ages, 1 hr 30 mins to rip mp4 vs 10 mins to rip VOBVersus_Terminusreally i rip MP4 files all the time and lose no quality.. you must be doing it wrong :P
going from one compressed format to one with even more compression, you do lose qualityVersus_Terminus:roll: i don't.

i think it only compresses it if you lower the bit rate lower than that of a vob, so just depends on your settings i think

exactly, if you just disable the adjusted bit rate and tell it to encode at whatever the source is you lose no quality. Please Log In to post.
