Some of them do i know i down loaded the sonic games and they all have 10 trophies gothby98
C'mon. If you're going to try to troll, or attempt to misinform, you gotta put a little more effort into it than that... Yer borin' me, here....
... PSOne games do not, nor will they ever, have or need, trophies. PSOne games are straight ports, adding trophy support for those games would require new coding, etc., and Sony really only wants to collect money for them, not spend any. It makes sense, business-wise. In truth, it's hard enough for them to round up some of the rights holders in order to negotiate a digital release of PSOne games this many years later. That's why we're not seeing more of them than we do in a lot of cases. I heard a podcast where they were discussing the "Arc The Lad" rights chase, I believe, and what a crazy time they had trying to corral all these people again, to get them to agree...
... But the truth is, you don't need trophies to enjoy some of the most seminal gaming of the last several decades. "Metal Gear Solid" is a game I have played every summer since it came out, just about, it's sort of a tradition... "Oddworld: Abe's" is still an amazing game, the "Resident Evil" games go without saying along with the first "Dino Crisis", and "Silent Hill", "Legacy of Kain" was ridiculously (and successfully) ambitious in it's story telling scope, FFV through FFVIII... The list goes on and on... And if you are a younger game player, or you missed those games the first time around, you really owe it to yourself to get a first-hand education in those titles, and more that are available through PSN. Most of them are $6, for over 40 hours of gaming greatness, some of them...
... Trophies would only distract you from the genius.
:)
Pavlov would be going bananas with all of the blinding proof surrounding trophies, and his theories on conditioned response. Not everything pays off with an irritating bell and a nitification in the corner of the screen.
This is why I'm hanging onto my copies of "Silent Hill 2" and "Silent Hill 3" even though there's the HD collection coming. I don't want those games' atmosphere to be tainted by any of that trophy stuff. I have nothing against people liking trophies, but I don't want them interrupting my Survival Horror experience. I really wanted to turn it off in "Alone in the Dark: Inferno", "Siren: Blood Curse", and the like...
