Overall verdict... Ps4? piece of shit. Stick with ps3 it's still the better consul.

I honestly have not had this experience at all. Although I don't dislike my PS3's online performance, it has been worse in every way compared to my PS4. Everything is so much faster and smoother on the PS4 - connectivity, browsing, communication, downloads... Perhaps you got a dud unit?

The biggest negative for me is still the controller... it's a definite improvement over DS3, but it's still just not comfortable enough for me (especially in long sessions).

And I'd like to have the option to plug in an external HDD (like Xbone) instead of only being able to change the internal one.
