Playstation 3 mascot??

So i was in a debate with my brother about who could be playstation 3 mascot and he said Snake from metal gear solid............

He ranked Snake over Little Big planet and God of war?!?!?!?!

I love snake but no way he's playstation 3 mascot.

On top of that he said Metal gear soild was the best game on playstation 3 , and he swears he's a playstation fanboy.

So ima need some views from differnt people because he sounds crazy.

I had to vote for Snake. He has been with Playstation since the begining and as my favorite series that is also one of the many reasons I have stayed with the brand. MGS4 is still the best game on the PS3 IMO.

isn't there already an official mascot? i remember seeing this cat-like thing, can't remember its name though.

it'sToro. i think it's the perfect mascot for not just PS3 but all of Sony's console systems. it's cute and distinctly Japanese.

Exactly. If a console's good enough, it should sell itself. Lame 90's marketing techniques are highly unlikely to work on todays tech-savvy gamer anyway.

well out of those three i would go with snake. sure he is not much of a mascot, but a true maskot is supposed to be with a specific company for many years, and of course has to be in an exclusive game to the system.

look at nintendo, they got mario, who has been with the compnay since the beginning, and he has plenty of games for nintendo.

anyway playstation doesnt really need a mascot...

Well as the metal gear solid format has been multi format I can't see how snake can be a mascot for sony.

If it's anyone i'd say it has to be a Tekken character. Heihachi or Kazuya

Well seeing how Metal Gear Solid is now going multiplatform with Rising (and probably all future titles) I don't think Snake would be a very good mascot...Kratos doesn't scream "family friendly" and right now they're trying to go for a different audience with the Move and whatnot so I'm going with SackBoy. Because of that and he's just so darn cute :P

Solid Snake is from Konami, meaning a 3rd party. Gotta take him out of that list OP. Sack Boy or Kevin Butler are the obvious choices.

Ratchet??? anyone??? out of all the games Ratchet has been there the most frequent...sure solid snake has been around for a while but im pretty sure Ratchet and Clank have more releases...and Ratchet is lovable all around IMO.

Sigh just stick with the anime mascots.
