Just got a PS3 and my controller wont work wirelessly.

I got a PS3 on black friday and i try to make my controller work wirelessly but it wont sinc. whats wrong? all that happens is that the lights on the controller blink but nothing else. gotta plug it back in to work.

From my past experience with new controllers, you have to actually connect it to the USB in port 1 and turn it on that way to make it function... ....but the "tear drop" thing never fails.

tons of people have been having this problem since the latest firmware update. Still no solution to it yet.

This. I've always had to turn a controller on while connected to the console to get it to work the first time.

Like the other guy said, the last firmware ruined the connection for alot of people, including me and my friends. We have to plug in the controller via usb, then reset the ps3 and finally pull out the usb cord and it should work wirelessly. Very annoying. Hope a fix will arrive soon.

anyways im having the same problem as you..my light keep blinking but it works fine as soon as i plug it in (and yes, its fully charged)

imma cry also to see if that works
