I am thinking of getting one and a couple of friends have them and i'm wondering is there any sort of name or code that we could give each other to play together online, not ad-hoc, online

games like socom or splinter cell you can have a friends list to see when they are online and you can make clans to have clan matches with...

As others have stated, some games have friends lists, but there is no unified gamer tag that works on all online games. At least not yet.

yer you get to create your name on your psp and on some games you have to create an online account
