Is Destiny really that bad?

Hi all, so I maybe getting as PS4 next month around my birthday, and I'm wondering whether Destiny is as bad as some reviews state. I know some people who play the game and they love it. When or if I get a PS4, would getting Destiny as part of a bundle package or for cheap be worth it? A friend at my work plays it a lot and I thought it would be a good idea for me to get it as at least I would have a game which I could play with someone I know.

It's ok... I think I've played it for more than 50 hours, so it must be at least ok. The actual gameplay is awesome, but everything else is poor to middling.. The end game grind is soooooooooooooooo long.

I'm not a hardcore gamer but I enjoy it. The later levels seem like a bit of a grind but still enjoyable for me. If you liked Halo, you will like this. I find it to be very similar. That's about the only other FPS I could get into on a console.

@Chris_53: depends, i played it for 300+ hours, it's fun with friends or someone to play with like a clan. Don't buy it for story. Buy it for the multiplayer

I use think it was bad just like you... until I took an arrow to the Knee (in Dark Souls)

Now no game is that bad to me....

The multiplayer is a LOT of fun.

Yup, in all the decades I´ve been playing very seldomly I get disappointed with a game. Years I was disappointment free until 09/09/2014.

Gameplay is solid. Story is non existent. Multiplayer pvp is really fun. Haven't plaid any raids but they look fun as well.
