InFamous vs. Prototype - which will be better?

I am really interested in both of these game but will probably only buy one.

Any guesses on if one will probably be the better game when they come out?

I was leaning towards Prototype because of the sandbox open world stuff but then I just saw the new trailer for InFamous and it looks pretty open-worldish too.

I feel that prototype will be better for the fact that's more mature looking that inFamous. But inFamous looks like it could be good fun to, i'm still going to stick to prototype, i'm so excited

Infamous looks more polished... Prototype looks more like a brawler, I'll be getting Prototype first.

I'm looking forward to both of them but like TC, I'm only getting one and getting the other after a price decrease. I'm leaning more towards inFamous at the moment, purely because in my country it is the cheaper of the two. Plus I can see Prototype going down in price quicker.RandomBeast

Both games are pretty similar.

I'd buy the one I find personally fun to play with. You want both? Save money and buy both.

If you can't choose... do a flip coin or something. ;)

I normally hate doing this but I'm going to wait till they both come out and take a close look at each of their respective reviews to decide which one I'm going to get first.

I'm not entirely sure. I like a lot of aspects from both games. I guess I will just wait for the review and see which one to buy and just wait for a price drop in the other one or rent it.

Basically as of now whatever game of the two I buy is based on the critics reviews.McMJ3

Not just 6 months ago I would have told you with no doubt in my mind that Prototype would be the better game; despite the crappy visuals, it looked like it promised way more satisfying gameplay and the feeling of power. But with each consecutive trailer and gameplay footage my mind has done a complete 180. I'm a lot more interested in Infamous now.beekayjay

Both look good, but Prototype has always had my attention so I would go with that.

It's to close to call. But if I had to choose one, it would be probably be Prototype.

There's a few other things that inFamous has over Prototype too: a karma system, a better storyline,developers with a better track record,it's a PS3 exclusive, it comes with the Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta... but yeah, the HOME Reaper costume you get for preordering from Amazon.com is pretty good, too. :P

Both for me. They both look ace.

Who knows which one will be better, but I'm most excited about Prototype.

I think BOTH games are going to AWESOME (and that'sa GOOD thing) so, inFamous comes out first I'll be gettingit and then Prototype comes outI'll be gettingthat and I vow not to post in another inFamous/Prototype discussion from here on out (we'll see how long that lasts lol) I am telling you now both of these games are going to be GREAT!!

You still got it wrong. You get into the Uncharted Beta when you pre-order and buy INFAMOUS at Bestbuy.

Actually, I think you can get the Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta code at other major chains too - you just have to make sure you get the game the day it comes out, as there aren't supposed to be a lot of the codes and the beta begins a week after inFamous drops on May 26th... so preordering somewhereis probably a very good idea, just to be safe!

Preordering at Best Buy specifically gets you the early access to theinFamous demo as well- it allows you to start downloading the demo this Friday, instead of having to wait until May 21st like everyone else (preorders from GameCrazy get the same thing too).

I think Infamous because prototype looks like you are invincible. which can make a game really boring. It also looks like nothing will be polished because of the abundance of powers.
