Alright, its apparent that soopakilla and flamesofgrey win. < < (bows down to)
Anytime I feel like Ive spent too much on games or that I have too many games, (I have 31) Im going to come back and look at this thread.
You guys are ridiculous, you cant be playing all those.

I can't speak for the other guy but I am not in a competition with my collections. Collecting in general is not for everyone but I enjoy it as well as playing. Also, there is no time limit on playing games and I have tons of years left considering my age.
so you collect more so than you play? interesting. thats an expensive yet worthwhile collection you have there then. i know i have games i still ahve never taken the shrinkwrap off of. how many of those do you have lol?
Zero, I do eventually plan to play everything I buy, so, I don't keep any game in shrink wrap.so you collect more so than you play? interesting. thats an expensive yet worthwhile collection you have there then. i know i have games i still ahve never taken the shrinkwrap off of. how many of those do you have lol?

do you buy used or is your entire collection purchased at full retail? sorry, if im prying. im just curious as to the guidelines of collecting games. do you seek out special editions? i mean is this like collecting comics or sports cards? im intrigued.

I have only bought around 5 used games in my life. 99% of my games are bought brand new but not always at full price. I will wait for price drops on alot of games. I rarely buy special editions as I just want the game 90% of the time. It's not like comics and cards because those have to stay in Mint Condition to maintain their worth and of course even though I want my games to stay mint, playing them will bring down their condition which is fine.

and what about psn games? do you consider them part of your "collection" or is it hard disksthat onlycount?
this is probably a silly question too, but oh well. do you ever sell or trade any games? i assume not. but i know theres games on that shelf that youre not too hyped on. is there solace in saying you own a game even if you dont particularly care for it, butjust for the sake of ownership?

I count them, just seperately as PSN Games. Right now I have 208 Retail PS3 Games and 27 PSN Games. I never trade in or sell games because 90% of the time I would be taking a $30+ loss on a game.17, including the PSN "Wipeout" game. I tend to wring out a game thoroughly, so 1 game a month seems to be the average for me.
I vowed with the PS3, not to repeat my Xbox original mistake. At the end, I had so many Xbox games, some of which I have never played. So now, I will not buy a game simply because it is cheap. I need to really want to play the game vs simply owning it.
67 When i last counted, i've wasted my student loan lol. Since Christmas 2008 too, so more than half of those games remain unfinished, my attention span is poor.
All these people with thier ton of games (one guy had 405!!) I have a better question... how many of those games have you actually finished?!
I know I only have about 30 PS3 games (including PSN games) and I've finished all of them except for about 6, 3 of which I just purchased.
I think there is some huge issues with over-consumption here!
