It's all based on how new/popular they are. The older they get, the less trade in value they have. I've seen anywhere from 3 bucks for games like Astonisha Story to 18 bucks for games like Madden 08. It just depends..
Currently Madden 08 and Tomb Raider are both getting you $5 @ gamestop. I wonder if the sell price has a direct relation to it since they recently dropped Madden from $40 to $20. If you call ahead they will tell you how much you can get. Of course you'll most always get more on ebay but it can be kind of a hassel unless your selling several @ once.
Another solution is to try your local pawn shops or flea markets. I have a pawn shop near me that buys all PSP games for a min of $8 no matter the title, 360 & PS3 titles are a min of $13! Hope this helps so good luck & happy hunting.
I wouldn't trade them in at retail stores, they rip you off. Check out the game trading site goozex, there's a link in my sig. See if it's worth it for you, I've been getting some sweet deals.
the only way to squeeze out more "value" out of game trades in general is by having those edge cards assuming you go to gamestop or whatever affiliate stores are a part of gamestop...but even then it's not even cash you get back which is unfortunate...
Listen, trading in your games to gamestop will only get you a couple of cents if you are lucky. Don't take the easy way out. If you sell them on ebay, you could get easily ten dollars per game (or about 100 times what gamestop will give you)
