I hope I'm not the only one who has gone through more than five controllers. It might even be into the 8+ range. You?

You got to relax when you play games :) I've bought 5 total, but the all work. Only 1 isn't getting a little flakey. Sometimes the left analog stick won't fully center itself.

One, I spilt a drink and it leaked into the analog sticks. It's completely broken it just doesn't work without the chord.

Well. I ALMOST destroyed my controller last night via God of War. But I stopped playing before that could happen.

I smashed one on the ground once, but it still works. I've only bought 2 Dualshock 3's and both of them have worked fine for about 2 years. Strangely my PS2 Dualshock 2 controllers no longer work, even though they were never damaged. They used to work just fine, but my PS2 has been boxed up for a couple of years. I tried playing some PS2 last week and half the buttons wouldn't register anymore.

I've got two controllers. One SixAxis and one Dualshock 3, and both work perfectly fine.

What is it that fails on your controllers? The analog sticks?

Mostly the L1 and R1 buttons. I play very aggressively. Although after I stopped playing Call of Duty I have yet to break one...hmm...

One. I threw it on the couch, it bounced off the edge, hit the floor and the R1 + R2 buttons broke. I didn't throw it out of rage just incase anybody is wondering. I just have extremely bad luck.

I'm quite happy to say zip. Definitely don't want to pay $50 for a new controller.

I broke one PS1 controller in a drunken rage but fortunately they were easy to fix. The N64 controller on the other hand, forget about it! Once you take one of those apart, all these parts come out. :P From the PS2 on, I've never broken a controller.

two were the cheap sisaxis i had from launch that just stopped working properly and the other one was a ds3 that i took apart and lost a few screws and some of the little plastic innards. and they didnt even bother testing them although i didnt get much for them, maybe 20bucks for all three, this was in november

None... I don't throw my possessions around, I work hard for the things I buy lol.

I'm pretty gental with controllers when playin too. I've seen people who just slam the joysticks around and stuff. People like that don't play my PS3 lol

None, I have taken care of both of my controllers. I start to realize when I am getting to that point of anger and just put the controllers and game down now. I remember breaking a ton of SNES controllers back in the day and have learned since then.

None. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the Dual Shock 3 is a well made controller - it feels hollow, creaks when you grip it tightly and has sticks that noticeably loosen over time. But I've never broken one. I only broke one of my old Dual Shock 2s, but that's because one of the buttons stopped working, I took it apart, and when I put it back together again nothing worked.

I haven't broken any of them like by throwing them against a wall, just normal wear and tear by use..

1 had loose R & L sticks and another had a flimsy L2 button and my dog chewed it a little so i just swapped the good sticks onto controller 1..

now i just use controller 2 for spare parts lol..

i have 6 controllers though.

My left analog on one started acting funny like it would say it was going up slightly all the time. Enough to make me notice and annoy me and another looks like it may be heading that way. They are both form launch and the original SIXAXIS controllers though.

After the PS2 days, I make sure that if I ever get annoyed I do not take my anger out on the controller.

So far I haven't broken any PS3 controllers, but a couple have deteriorated in condition (especially analog sticks going sticky) so I'm currently on my 4th controller due to that.

Never broke a controller. The most emotional outburst I've ever had while gaming was to turn the PS3 off without saving or exiting the game first.

Had one of my controllers have the spring in the right trigger break ...It's an easy fix but I haven't really bothered since I have another controller and I don't really play splitscreen/co-op.
