Besides the one year warranty sony gives you? B/c I didn't because I thought if anything was wrong it would happen before the one year is over.

I bought a 2 year warranty for my PS3 at launch, so now I can play in comfort knowing I don't have to really worry if gets messed up

I didn't get one at GS, and there was no offer from Sony available otherwise I would have.

Over the average of everyone who buys them, extended warrantys are almost never worthwhile. So, no.

I purchased a 2-year extended warranty at Wal-Mart for $28.88. $14.44 per year isn't too much for the peace of mind it provides.

I don't believe in buying a warranty on something that has less than a 1% failure rate.
