I have 5 unopened games. I'll be beating them before the summer ends though.

Haven't opened Portal 2, Shadows of the Damned, Trinity Universe, Vanquish, or Castlevania.

Seriously, how can you people have sealed games? When I buy a game, even if I don't intend on playing it for a while, I still open it up and check the disk is in there and browse the manual for a couple of seconds.

Zero, the longest I even went without opening/playing a game when i bought it was L.A. Noire - I waited about a month only because it came out while psn was down and just didnt play it untill after psn came up.

Everytime I buy a game which is new and sealed I always open it and one of the reasons is to check the disc isn't faulty as it is possible.

I can't understand anyone having a sealed game in their collection which they haven't got around to playing. That's just crazy. I have none (as you can tell). As soon as I get a new game I unwrap it and play it straight away.

I usually buy multiple games at a time, and what happens is sometimes I move onto another game before I play the other ones I buy. But eventually I get to all of them anyway, so what's the difference?

For me at least it's not like I'm piling up games I paid $59 for and then by the time I play them I could have paid $20. THAT would be stupid because it's just wasting money. But in my case usually I'm buying games when they are hitting rock bottom prices (i.e. New Vegas and Split Second I literally *just* picked up for $9.99 each, for sealed brand new copies). In fact pretty much every game on my list is something I grabbed for $9.99 or some really cheap price. I don't know exactly when I'll get to start them, but I know they'll never be much cheaper than $9.99 so I figured I might as well grab them. I see no reason to open them until I'm ready to play.

Disgaea 3 is really the only unopened game I've had forever, the others are all within the last couple months at most but that one is probably 2 years. For whatever reason I can't bring myself to start it.

I have 2. Valkyria Chronicles and a Japanese copy of FFXIII. I bought VC on impulse almost 2 years ago because it was supposedly getting rare. Even though I knew wasn't going to be playing it for a while I bought it in case it really did become rare and the price shot up really high for new copies. Like a month later the game dropped $20 in price. I was pretty mad. Still haven't had the time to play it so I never got around to opening it. My Japanese copy of FFXIII came with my Lightning Edition PS3 Slim. It has a different cover than the normal Japanese version and I knew I was never going to play it because I don't know Japanese so I kept it sealed as a collector's item.

I'm with you. I buy the game, open it (definitely to check to see if the disc is there because there is a chance it might not be), check the manual, and take a whiff of that new game smell (*sniiiiff* ahh!) :P oh yeah then I play it when I get home.

I have bought and opened but never played God of War III, Heavenly Sword, inFamous, Just Cause 2, and Resident Evil 5. I will eventually get to these and play them but I spend most of the time playing GT5 or Fallout: NV at the moment.

Are you kidding me? My favorite part of buying a new game is ripping the plastic packaging to shreads getting it open even if I don't have time to play it

Zero. I am a collector but I don't collect with the intention of selling my games later down the road for profit or anything which is why I don't buy limited editions or multiple copies. There's no reason to keep them sealed.

All of mine are opened, but probably about 5 of them have less than one hour of play time on them. I open em to make sure the game disc is good and not damaged and plays.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying bro but people like me have sealed copies because we might see a game in a sale for a very good price. These purchases accumulate into a backlog and I, for example, only play one game at a time so some are still sealed. :)

Four for the PS3 (Uncharted, Dante's Inferno, Sly Cooper Collection, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine). And I'm actually proud of this relatively small number. :P

Like others have said, I only buy games when they are on sale/clearance. Not to mention I spend way too much money on video games (how can you turn down a highly discounted game?). Because of this I tend to accumulate games at a much quicker rate than I can play them.

Then why buy 5 games at a time? I can understand if the game retails for $60, and there's a sale and it's only $30.. But buying 5 games and just not playing them... I don't get it. And why even buy more games if you even have a backlog that's over 5? Wish I could afford to have 25 games in my backlog, let alone 25 games for my PS3.. But if you do, more power to ya man.

I've never bought 5, but I have bought 3 at a time when I already had a 2-3 game backlog. Sometimes Amazon buy 2 get 1 free sales are hard to resist!

Fallout: New Vegas. I just picked it up for $9.99 @ Best Buy. I'll get around to it after I beat Infamous 2, LA Noire & Batman AA. $9.99 is a great deal, so i grabbed it before the sale ended.
