I read somewhere that a R* rep said GTAIV would be 56 hrs to complete the single player campaign on the game. For MGS4 i haven't found anything on how many hrs it would be but one of the reasons why the game is filling up a dual layer is due to the very long single player. I'm guessing less than 24 hrs of gameplay.BasementJunkie8In GTA the are said to have close to 8 hours of cutscenes and as for 56 hours of gameplay I think that is talking about everything in the game... I doubt it would would take 56 hours to complete GTA... and as far as MGS4 I see that lasting about 30 hours and thats with the cutscenes... but that is just what I think... I really have no clue.
Payton confirmed it will be around 30+ hours.AgentH
I find this very hard to believe considering most MGS games are no longer than 15 hours tops.
30 hours? I don't think so.

Well the game was to big for a 50 gig blu ray disc and was put on a duel layer 90 gig disc.......So how long does that meanSilly boy, Metal Gear Solid is a game, not a measure of time. What you want is a stopwatch.

Thats what I heard.A dual-layer Blu-ray disc is 50gb, single-layer is 25gb.

Thats what I heard.seriosly think about that logic. even if a single layer Blu ray disc was 50 gigs, how in the world would a dual layer come out to be 90 and no 100.

Everyone has it wrong, a single layer BD is 25GB with a dual layer topping off at 50GB, MGS4 is on a dual layer 50GB disk
On my first playthrough I beat it in around 31+ hours, right now on my second playthrough I'm in the middle of the third act and I'm at around 6 hours approaching 7.
Basically, the game can be as long as you want it to be.
My brother completed the game in 35 hours on his first try, he's not even a good MGS player.
I completed it in 20 hours on my first playthrough, 10 hours on second, now attemping 5 hours.
So basically it all depends on just how you play, either way, there's a ton of content and replay value to keep you busy.
IT'S A ZOMBIE THREAD!!! ALL THANKS TO THIS GUY!!!

30 hours I see it... people come on just think about the cut scenes and how long they will be... but sure the game might just be 10-15 hours if you are the type of people who skip the cutscenes... my uncle plays like that and i just look at him like 4real... u just missed the plot and then when i play and watch the cutscenes he looks so impatient like a little kid...lolballer72
The game is A LOT shorter than 30 hours, more like 3 and a half skipping cutscenes(at least that's what it took to get the Big Boss Emblem.
Either way both games seem super long and have a ton of replay value.
