HOME AND POWER BUTTONS NOT WORKING ON Vita!

For some reason they're not working and the screen is flashing and I don't know how to control these buttons, help!

This happens to me when it needs to be charged. I plug it in and it still doesn't work, but after a few minutes of it being plugged in, I hold the power button to turn it on and it works.

But it's fully charged right now, like I can go to an app, but I can't put it into standby mode or go to the Home menu.

does this mean you cant restart the device?

@k--m--k: Basically, yes.

It's mostly the power button flex cable problem,you need dissemble the hardware and find a replacement power button flex cable.

P/S But I can't find a replacement so what I do is unplug the power button flex cable from the hardware board.

Did you buy it used? It must've been faulty hardware. Mine has never done that and it's 4 years old.
